Joined ping to 2 ping lists
Nailed It! Moral Clarity BUMP ! This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention. You can see the list of articles I pinged to lately on my page. You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about). Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card. |
Orson Scott Card - PING [please freepmail me if you want or don't want to be pinged to Orson Scott Card political articles]

Only the aged hippies care what Trudeau thinks about anything.
"Does anybody here remember when Doonesbury was funny?"
I've NEVER considered it funny.
Who reads that comic, anyway? It stopped being culturally relevant somewhere around 1986.
Normal people read "Day by Day" on the Internet.
I'm glad to see in this era of Bush-bashing from both sides of the aisle that someone will at least show some consistency and stand up for him.
Never. Doonsbury was always like my first college roommate: slept late, missed classes, never bathed, slept in old newspapers instead of linen (I am not making this up), treated women dreadfully, and thought he was the fint of all wisdom while sounding to others like Donald Duck. I moved after the first semester.
Spot-on on every single point. (Card's a terrific fiction writer too; anyone who doesn't know his work should check it out.)
I saw that Trudeau cartoon. 'Bout ruined my Sunday breakfast, it made me so mad, with all its lies and eighth-truths. For the first time ever, I thought about writing a letter about a cartoon ... but Card says it better than I ever could.
The Demagogues has a "comic book" approach to war, politics, history, economics, etc....... so it's perfectly appropriate for them to be represented by a man whose specialty is comic books. I say make Gary Trudeau head of the DNC - at least they couldn't do worse than with Howie Dean!
I bet the troops tht are over there think it's bloody.
Awesome read.
On the comedy scale, Doonesbury is in the same class with Mark Trail, Judge Parker, and Henry.
Great analysis. Thanks for posting.
Gary Trudeau must also compose the material for such comedic geniuses as Whoopi Goldberg and Jeanine Girafalo.
But it's so much easier to HATE!
The dhimmicrats proclaim a 'new direction' but campaigned on Bush hate.
I will vote for the next Republican Presidential Candidate that says to the Dems, "Your two minutes of hate is up."
Orson Scott Card must be one of the clearest thinking people alive! Although I am not a fan of his science fiction (I found Ender Wiggins to be violently annoying) I love reading his columns.
The truth is simple here; just too bad, more of our Leaders are loathe to articulate it.
The Left encourages weakness. . .and the terrorists are emboldened by the idea of it. . .
The question that needs to be asked and in response to the Left's usual mantras. . .is how things might look today in Iraq; if the Left had chosen the 'terrorists' as their enemy; rather than George Bush.
'Save the Terrorists; Join the Democrats. . .'
I read it, because its a quick way of finding out what the leftists are thinking, and slightly less painful then reading Maureen Dowdy.
Only people who respect a cartoonist who made fun of Ronald Reagan's debillitating illness care what Trudeau thinks about anything.I used to struggle to try to understand Trudeau. And then I did - and he isn't worth it. Whatever "it" is.
Please add me to your list.
