Behind the scenes, Kerry apparently has been having doubts, calling current and former Democratic confidantes to inquire just how much his gaffe hurt his presidential chances, according to several Democrats who spoke on condition of anonymity because the conversations were private.
Kerry, who turns 63 later this month, had been planning to announce a comeback campaign in December or January. He had thrown himself into helping his party reclaim Congress in the midterm election, campaigning for roughly 80 House, Senate and gubernatorial candidates.
[snip]
Nonetheless, Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, hope to boost their public reemergence with a book about the environment slated for publication next April. \

This article has a lot of Rats "speaking on the condition of anonymity." WOO HOO!
Also note Carry is going to try to follow in Algore's footsteps by flacking the "environment" in a book co-written with the Missus.

Kerry just doesn't get it. Despite all his antics, despite all his claims, despite all his attempts to the contrary ...he just doesn't understand that it is he, himself, who is the botched joke.

When he calls me... I'm telling him to run run run. I'll join you. We should start a 'Freepers for Kerry' club, dedicated to getting John Kerry the Democratic Nomination in 2008!
Won't matter who we nominate, he'll crush John F'n Kerry.
To: Jeff Head
Yes, he's a joke.
Hence the photo in #3.

I have no problem with Kerry running again. There are some positives to it.
There would be some temporary corporations created by it and therefore some jobs. With more campaigns will come more jobs, more spending, and more spreading of the wealth.
More radical left campaigns will provide more fodder for us to attack. And Kerry will provide a lot of material for us FReepers. I miss the good old days of "swift-boating".

The "environment" is already Boy Al's schtick, Monsieur. I think Kerry would have a lot of catching up on his dope smoking to come up with stuff like Al, anyway.
To: wouldntbprudent
Does this mean that he has signed his SF 180?
All the unresolved '04 issues will re-emerge if he's DUmb enough (redundant, I know) to run again.
Can't wait for it. The debates between him and Hillary will be classic!!

Perhaps there is no "Humor" in this house. We've dissected Kerry's infamous statement every which way and cannot see any "Joke" in that statement. We see only the TRUE Kerry. We think the media is "convincing" us there was a "Joke" there.

True, but after seeing the success Algore has had--on a number of levels, including receiving many wet kisses from Hollywierd--with his book, you can expect to see Rat candidates cranking out the books, DVDs, etc.
Maybe even a few songs, since, you know, Johnn Carry used to be in a band.
And just remember: these are SOoooo easy to concoct. No research necessary. Any facts that go against your plotline, just ignore.

Good grief, can't he give up and go back to watching the home movies of his Vietnam tour. John Effing Kerry, you've had your 15 minutes, please, please just go away.

Okay, I'm back. lol
"Sirens" got me to thinking about ambulances, etc. and the flashing yellow lights we called "whoopy lights" in the Army.
So if Teresa is the "Siren of the Serengetti," then Lurch is the "Whoopy light of Timbuktu"?

"Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, hope to boost their public reemergence with a book about the environment " In otherwords, being Al Gore copy cats in hopes of riding on his coat tails.
What an idiot. He will launch his "book" just as Gore's fraudulent film has been completely exposed for the trash it is.
It will be interesting to see what sort of environmental "hero" John F'ing Kerry portrays himself as in his book. We all know he just can't resist putting himself on a pedestal. The man is a compulsive liar, he can't help himself.

Maybe he's jealous of Jimmie Carter and encouraged by the fact that failure and buffoonery don't necessarily end a Democrat's career!

Taking Kerry at his word, that his "botched joke" was an attempt to insult President Bush rather than the troops in Iraq, it's at the level of playground humor, where one kid calls another an insulting name and thinks it's very funny.
Kerry can't figure out why the rest of the country wasn't rolling on the floor laughing with him rather than at him.
