Who needs money when you have ideas / sarc (maybe).

The agenda for such a movement should include the following activities and efforts, they say:


investigate radical mosques

support anti-Islamofascist freedom fighters

thwart attempts to impose Sharia law

form an anti-Islamofascist publishing network

create an anti-Islamofascist portal on the Internet

establish an anti-Islamofascist speakers bureau

wage an ideological assault on Islamofascism

support efforts to evangelize Muslims in Europe and the Middle East

create a global anti-Islamofascist coalition

reframe the illegal immigration issue as one of national security

end dependence on foreign oil that's funding the Islamofascists.

How about just killing them? I doubt that you're going to change their minds, so if you don't kill them, then you're just working up a plan for a mutually acceptable level of violence that will go on forever. No thanks.

Note that all of those items listed by Wheeler except the last one fall afoul of the cults of Political Correctness and Multiculturalism - which are now dominant influences in our culture (it is even worse in Europe).

We never had that problem when faced with Communism. This entire battle is going to be steeply uphill because of our own prevailing fatal Liberal orthodoxies which have taken massive root.

Frankly, I doubt we have a prayer of winning this war until (and unless) the Islamics perform an unprecedented attack upon our country, killing millions or destroying an entire city. It will have to be much more massive than 9/11. Otherwise, we will never wake up, shake off our lethargy, and fight to win this. We'll just be taken apart piece by piece, with Europe sliding first into the abyss.

I'm afraid that initiatives that are essentially "charm campaigns" have
low level of success.
They didn't work with the Nazis or the Communists.

As Churchill said about the Nazis/Facists: "These people are either
at your throat or at your feet".

In other words, either they are on the offensive trying to kill you.
Or on their knees begging to be the few thugs whose lives are spared
after peace is brought about after enough of the thugs have been killed
in battle.

Half-measures or odes of friendship are most likely the fast-track
to dhimmitude.
For those of us that survive whatever the President of Iran has in
store for us.
And that which the leaders of the West are too cowardly to stop.
