Terri's Story
Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation ^ | December 3,2006 | Schindler Foundation

Posted on 12/03/2006 3:03:26 AM PST by 8mmMauser

Theresa Marie Schindler was born to Robert and Mary Schindler on December 3, 1963. She was the first of three children the Schindlers would have.

Terri was a shy, but comical, child who had an affinity for music, animals and the arts. She kept a small circle of friends and was dear to schoolmates, neighboring families and her own extended family.

Following high school, Terri came into her own. She developed a knack for sketching and doodling. She enjoyed outings with her friends. She was an adoptive mother to the family’s dog, Bucky.

Terri attended Catholic School while growing up and remained close to her faith throughout her life.

In 1983, Terri met Michael Schiavo at Bucks County Community College and the two began dating. He was the first romantic interest Terri had.

The couple was engaged within a few months and married a year later at Terri’s church in Southampton, Pa. She was 21.

In 1986, Terri and Michael relocated to Pinellas County, Florida and her parents followed three months later.

In 1990, at the age of 26, Terri suffered a mysterious cardio-respiratory arrest for which no cause has ever been determined. She was diagnosed with hypoxic encephalopathy – neurological injury caused by lack of oxygen to the brain. Terri was placed on a ventilator, but was soon able to breathe on her own and maintain vital function. She remained in a severely compromised neurological state and was provided a PEG tube to ensure the safe delivery of nourishment and hydration.

On March 31, 2005, Terri Schindler Schiavo died of marked dehydration following more than 13 days without nutrition or hydration under the order of Circuit Court Judge, George W. Greer of the Pinellas-Pasco’s Sixth Judicial Court. Terri was 41.

Ping to wagglebee thread on Plan B. Thanks, hocndoc.

AUKLAND, New Zealand, January 3, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Plan B medication can cause abortion in the earliest stages of pregnancy, the New Zealand manufacturer that distributes the drug has admitted.

Schering [NZ] Ltd, based in Auckland, produces the emergency contraceptive drug for sale in New Zealand. Schering produces and distributes a pamphlet providing information on Plan B that pharmacists give to women who purchase the drug. The pamphlet clearly states that Plan B may prevent a fertilized egg from attaching to the womb, thereby causing the death of the newly-conceived child.

More on embryonic stem cells. I consider it especially in light of the new discoveries of sources which do not kill babies and which would have the same potential for that elusive value the left harps about.

Back at the beginning of 2002, there was considerable optimism regarding the promise that embryonic stem cells were said to hold for millions of people suffering from fatal or debilitating medical conditions. Stem cells derived from human embryos, it was claimed, provided the best hope for relief of human suffering. Despite the profound ethical concerns regarding the use of human embryos for medical and scientific research, many Americans embraced this promise and the seemingly miraculous hope it offered.

Planned Parenthood is the topic of this wagglebee thread.

In today's world of 3-D ultrasound and operations in utero, it is clear to even the most casual observer that a human person exists from his or her point of creation. Parents today happily display pictures of their children from the early months of pregnancy and everyone can see their beautiful faces and other features.

Yet there are those who still insist that it is okay to kill these innocent children just because somebody doesn't want them. It is a horrible fact that the youngest of our children are not protected by law.

God bless and preserve Haleigh Poutre. That poor child was put through hell by evil step-parents. So what happens when the bureaucrats stepped in? The state tried to kill her! These folks are "f'ing nuts," to quote a vulgar friend.

>> Hitler-style 'designer' babies coming under fire in Texas

They could design a bunch of Texas-style cheerleader babes and it wouldn't hurt my feelings too much.

Of course, we could design a special place in Hell for eugenicists and that wouldn't hurt my feelings much either. In fact, I think God already did that.

Glad to know I read the literature correctly (#1290). Terri threads are a graduate course in medicine and in abnormal psychology as well as Columbo-level criminal investigation.

And that's good news indeed. The DSS has that child in its clutches and is hiding its actions from public view. They won't let her own mother visit her. Legislators may be the only people capable of finding out what the [expletive deleted] those bureaucratic bumblers are doing to her.

The liberals do love "privacy," don't they? They hide behind it for crimes great and small -- killing babies, killing children, killing seniors, killing disabled wives. If the DSS has nothing to hide, why is it hiding?

The "Anonymous M.D." author of a book I'm reading -- Unprotected* -- made a point that's so obvious you don't think of it. Planned Parenthood does everything in its power to prevent "Parenthood"!

The group should call itself "Cold-Blooded Destruction of Purpose, Higher Value, Families, America, Civilization and Human Life."

*Caution: the following link to Amazon contains an offer to sell but is intended here only for reference to the book. Well, you've all seen Amazon listings. Btw, isn't that about the most depressing cover you've ever seen?

The only "plan" that the eugenicists at Planned Parenthood seem to have is to limit live childbirth by whatever means necessary.

Harder to kill the little honkbleepers after they're born, y'know.

(Pay no attention to this tagline. It's for when I'm writing to uxorcide fans.)

On January 11, the House will consider a bill to fund
research that requires the killing of human embryos.
Sponsored by Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO), H.R. 3 will
federally fund research on human embryos that supposedly
are "leftover" from in vitro fertilization. Instead of
promoting the adoption of these human embryos, this bill
would require their death.

President Bush is the first president to federally fund
human embryonic stem cell research. He decided that such
research could be funded so long as the cells had been
obtained from embryos on or prior to August 9, 2001. Since
then, the government has funded research on over 22 stem
cell lines. However, the President's policy does not
encourage the further killing of human embryos.

Just as abortion is currently legal, killing human embryos
is completely legal. The debate is about federal funding.
We don't federally fund abortion even though it is legal.
Likewise, we should not force U.S. taxpayers to fund
research that requires the destruction of embryos. Last
July, President Bush vetoed the same bill and the House
upheld the veto. However, H.R. 3 would overturn the Bush
policy and create a direct incentive to create and kill
human embryos for research with your taxes!

==>Please contact
your Representative and let him or her know that you
strongly oppose H.R. 3.

Thank you and God bless you.

Switching to regular tagline because the last one was really for the benefit of people who have this thing about torturing wives to death and who say we're the crazy ones. (You know who you are.)

Watching Boston Legal tonight made me think of Teri. They had a case where a doctor in N.O. during Katrina basically euthenised people rather then let them did like Teri did.

Yes, I remember that. I don't know the status of the case. Perhaps somebody around here has a link, or can find one.

The driver replied, "Bout whut?"
