America needs Barack Obama to lead us into a new era
The Union Leader ^ | December 5, 2005 | Wayne King

This is where Barack Obama is head and shoulders above any of the other potential candidates on either side. This is where he is in a league all his own.

Listen to him speak and you feel the power of his intellect, but just as strongly you feel the power of his heart. This is a leader who will be able and inclined to reach out to the powerful and the disenfranchised. His guileless style and his heart have not yet been corrupted by the cesspool of Washington politics. That's why we need him now.

I know, he says that he is a former Muslim who is now a liberal UCC'er.

But, do you believe everything Mr. Obama says?

Is he or ain't he, a Muslim? (Yes, yes he goes to a Christian church -- BJ carried a stage Bible also.)

A fellow Freeper sorted out some of the thousands of sites on the Internet and passed along one with a long discussion that included this:

". . .children born of Muslim lineage will be considered Muslims and according to Islamic law the door of apostasy will never be opened to them. If anyone of them renounces Islam, he will be as deserving of execution as the person who has renounced kufr to become a Muslim and again has chosen the way of kufr. All the jurists of Islam agree with this decision. On this topic absolutely no difference exists among the experts of shari'ah."

If any child renounces Islam it is no different than someone accepting Islam and then later rejects it. Both must die. But..

There's this, "Either they can leave the state and change, or, if they are firm in their change and faithful in their adherence to this other order which they have chosen and have seriously determined to establish in the place of the religion of their fathers, then let them place their life in danger and play the game of 'life risk', apart from which no order can be changed."

As I understand it, they can leave the Muslim country else if they insist upon staying and reject Islam they "play the game of 'life risk.'"

So Mr Obama was born a Muslim but he was not in a Muslim country so, no harm no foul?

Still, I am curious about why no radical Muslims' condemnations of Mr. Obama sans fatwa.

So I can't say he's dangerous because he could very well be a radical Muslim based upon the fact that no radical Muslims have issued a fatwa.

So I have to go to the last thing I have (other than flim flam man) but it's the dirtiest, meanest, most disgusting hurtful racist bigotry you can imagine. I'll probably get banned. But here it goes.

Mr. Obama is another Jimmy Carter.

"We Americans are a great and diverse people . . . [we share] the greatness of our Country. . .[and we expect the] decency, equality, and freedom - of an honest and responsible government. . .[but] government has demonstrated time and again its lack of confidence in the people. Our political leaders have simply underestimated the innate quality of our people. . . ."

Mr. Obama? No, Jimmy Carter.

Mr. Carter was thrust upon the public overnight by a campaign as slick as any new product announcement by a mega corporation. The anointed ones had made their choice and in 1976 Mr. Carter said these things and was one step away from the White House.

The country was in turmoil after the years-long Watergating and destruction of a wartime Republican administration -- pretty much what the Rats want by 2008 and the anointed ones have Jimmah Obama ready to go.

I knew (of) Robert Kennedy and Mr. Obama ain't no Robert Kennedy (he's not mean enough), Mr. Obama is Jimmy Carter.

I made some inquiries, and have been informed Obama himself wrote in his book that he had formerly "struggled" with crack. Will try to track down his exact words. I think it's remarkable that the media makes no mention of this at all.

What I feel is the power of about a 180 pound hemorrhoid.
