3/11: Informer Farssaoui Denounces Spanish Police Officers
EL MUNDO - Libertad Digital ^ | 4-6 December 2006 | Antonio Rubio (edt. & transl. J Aguilar)

In an unprecedented step, informer Abdelkader Farssaoui aka Cartagena reported last Friday pressures from the Police to cover-up links between Islamists and ETA.

Farssaoui surprisingly appeared at the National High Court to file a sixteen page report on which he gives details of the orders he received from his controllers and the tasks he carried out.

He claims they pressured and coerced him to conceal the links between Islamists and ETA members in his testimonies before Judges Del Olmo, investigating 3/11, and Garzón, in charge of the supervision of the operation Nova. He also says he elaborated notes on Islamists that went to pray to the Villaverde mosque, where he was imam, writing what his police controllers told him to write, therefore portraying them as radicals, so they could be indicted in cases opened in the National High Court.

Farssaoui also informed in June 2003, nine months before those attacks took place, about Serhane Ben Fakhet, aka The Tunisian, who was involved, according to the Official Version, in 3/11, and died in the Leganés apartment explosion. After he transmitted that data, he was told by his controllers to leave immediately Madrid, and go to Barcelona, but instead he moved to Almeria, where he already knew he could find a job.

He tells in the page number 14 of his report a conversation that he held with to Islamists before the 3/11 attacks:

In a Ramadan encounter with Mustafa Rifi and Said Berraj, we talked about the collaboration of infidels with Islamists to carry out terrorists acts in public places (referring to government offices) and the first one put forward the example of ETA, saying: For those people will be good, for two reasons; first, because doing so it would not be done by them and they would accomplish their objective, and the other, they would get an economic profit from the explosives sale.

Farssaoui says that all this data was sent in real time to his controllers, but that these same police officers, directed then by the police inspector Mariano Rayón, forbad him to tell this to Judge Garzón.

He also denounces that The Tunisian offered him to live in a duplex apartment in Bilbao (in the Basque Country), but again, his controllers forbad him to move. Later The Tunisian said to him not to talk with anyone about that offer and especially about his duplex in Bilbao. Jamal Ahmidan, aka El Chino, who died in the Leganés apartment with The Tunisian, had important hash distribution business in the Basque Country too.

But this is only the beginning. In his sixteen page report, this imam nicknamed Cartagena talks about Jamal Zougam, arrested two days after 3/11 and indicted as a perpetrator of the attack. He was told by his controllers to get close to him, so I could give information about him and the activities he carries out. After the surveillance, he tells his controllers that he cannot give any information because he lives a normal life. That is the point were they told him that they could not indict him in the 9/11 case (another great job of Judge Garzón and the Spanish Police, indeed) , and that they want him to try to get Zougam closer to the meetings where Serhane The Tunisian acted as a leader, in order to keep him, as the others, under surveillance.

But the most disturbing part of this report comes when he denounces that he was picked up on Saturday April 3rd 2004, by an official car in Almeria at 7:00 AM, sent to Madrid ( a distance of 550 km – 350 miles), , and carried to a meeting with members of the police he knew and others, one of them presented as police inspector. In this meeting, he was asked to visit the group (Jamal Ahmidan, Serhane Fakhet, Allekhema Lamari…) in an apartment in Leganés, were they were gathering together in order to find the people there were and if there was somebody new. But he refused, because the last time he saw them was in June 2003, and in addition, he disappeared saying nothing. I did not want –he says- because I did not know anything about them and I do not want that they suspect something, since I never went to their meetings without notice or invitation, especially coming to an apartment I did not know thus triggering the question of how I got there.

This testimony flagrantly contradicts the one that gave before the Commssion of Investigation of 3/11 police inspector Mariano Rayón, who told that the Leganés flat was located at 3:00 PM on that Saturday, and fits into the data that that was already a controlled apartment, where assaults and detentions had been carried out before, with a police officer as neighbour.

Around 9:00 PM on that Saturday April 3rd that apartment blew up. The Official Version says Islamists triggered a charge… after waiting the building to be evacuated.

This revelations come after last weeks', on which a Police gang which trafficked among other things, with explosives, was unconvered. The 3/11 case is getting very hot with four high rank police officers already charged.

I keep asking myself whether, not being this moor so clever, we've got an imam suicided at the Leganés apartment.

How is this being received in Spain? Is this being viewed as a sort of conspiracy theory and thus discredited or is it picking up momentum?

Weekly dosis of 3/11. It is getting really hot.

Very good question, Incorrigible!!

It is very slowly picking momentum. Not surpringsily almost ALL mass media in Spain are doing the utmost to keep the issue concealled.

Only the Catholic Church radio, with its agnostic (!) anchor Jimenez-Losantos, maybe Onda Cero radio channel, the newspaper EL MUNDO, and Libertad Digital newswebsite are defending the truth, but they are the ones that increase sales.

Sadly most mass media businessmen (Spain and international) had accepted the Socialist government "gifts" (usually TV concessions or public sector advertising) or simply don't dare to hold the line.

But again, Cartagena's testimony is surprisingly courageous and direct, and brings a lot of light of what was going on inside the Spanish security forces before and just after 3/11. I think the truth on the 3/11 is coming much faster than many thought.

This is a difficult chain of events for Americans wholly sceptical of our American media to decipher due to our scepticism of all media, the lack of media coverage, the lack of English language media coverage, and our lack of knowledge of the media factions within Spain.

You've spent a good deal of times explaining these media bias issues on your website, and we thank you for it, and for crossposting this on FR. Beause of your efforts, FR has more coverage on this international intrigue than 99% of American corporate media.

Thanks for posting this. I thought from the beginning that they should have been considering ETA links to Islamic groups instead of drawing the either/or dichotomy the media hastily settled upon. If you have a ping list for this subject please add me to it.

Thank you all very much. The more people that knows this issue, the safer the journalists and their collaborators can further investigate.

It is true, JerseyHighlander, that these informations are not easy to believe for a non-Spaniard (even though I haven't published the last part of the Cartagena's report yet). You'd have to study the last Socialist government of González (that succumbed in 1996 to a combination of economic crises, and Police corruption uncovered by EL MUNDO newspaper( in order to get a wider view. 3/11, arguably the greatest scam after the Reichstag fire, seems to be only the second round of the same fight.

If you want some references, AFAIK, Pedro J. Ramírez, director of EL MUNDO newspaper, did an internship in the Washington Post in... 1974, and it seems he has put in practise what he learnt that year there.

Jimenez-Losantos, the anchor of the Catholic Church Radio, also is the editor of Libertad Digital newswebsite, that translates and publishes articles written by people like Michelle Malkin, Jeff Jacoby and Thomas Sowell.

His collaborator, the person that carries out the evening programme, is César Vidal, an evangelist, yes, evangelist, professor of history in the Logos Christian School, in the U.S.

Against these brave people, we've got the huge pro-Socialist PRISA media group, that owns a Nation wide TV Channel, Spanish Direct TV Satellite platform, half the Spanish radio channels (BTW, one of them told in the evening of 3/11 that a suicide bomber was found on the trains) and the newspaper El País.

The managing director of this media group is Juan Luís Cebrián. He reached the post of anchor of the newsprograms in the State-owned television during the last years of Franco dictatorship. His father was the director of the fascist newspaper Arriba.

I hope all this may help you.
