Yeah, it has been great that the DC consensus group reached to far and have basically been blown out of the water.

The Surrender Gran'pas assert that Iran and Syria have "an interest in avoiding chaos in Iraq." And to think these idiots used to make command decisions.
Oh well, it explains why Ted Kennedy is still around.

My favorite line:
It's not really multilateral unless there's a Belgian on board, right?

Oh well, it explains why Ted Kennedy is still around. You mean, the people making command decisions were too stupid to get rid of him? Or in Washington, even a completely useless, destructive, drunken idiot seems normal?

The forties version would have Roosevelt asking Germany for help stabilizing France in 1944, and a Sixties version would have Nixon asking Hanoi for help in Laos.

No wonder Syria is already demanding concessions from America. Which is the superpower and which is the third-rate basket-case state? From the Middle Eastern and European press coverage of the Baker group, it's kinda hard to tell. This is the bottom line damage done by these cynical, arrogant and viciously incompetent losers. Regardless of Bush's responses to and presumably repudiation of this obscenity, the damage has already been done. It is damage that is catastrophic, and will exact a great cost in time and resources and energy to counteract.

The problem is that most Americans have NO IDEA what is actually in the ISG report. All they hear is that this high-and-mighty BIPARTISAN group (ooh la la!) has made wise pronouncements on getting out of Iraq ASAP, and that Bush is not kowtowing to all of the recommendations. Quelle horreur! If our fellow citizens read the report or even read *about* the report in any depth, they might see its flaws, but ya know, that's too much work. It's just easier to blame it on Bush. As usual.

Thanks Mark, we need to get you on FoxNews! LOL Have thought the same; and beyond the occasional 'guesting'. . .
I want to see evidence that G.W. Inc. and et al. . .has read his book (America Alone) as well.
Mark blows the trumpet; and America (and Europe) better listen up. . .

Mark Steyn understands what is at stake while the ISG authors and supporters do not.
