Ahmadinejad Faces Open Hostility as Students Try to Disrupt Speech

  • MSNBC reported that dozens of Iranian students burned pictures of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and threw firecrackers in an effort to disrupt his speech at a university on Monday.
  • CNN News reported that students Monday briefly interrupted a speech by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at their university by booing and chanting "Death to the dictator."
  • Iranian Student News Agency published a photo of Iranian Students who understand: Freedom isn't free!
  • Photos of Student Protesters interrupting Ahmadinejad: "Fascist President: You do not belong here!”

 

Iranian Uranium prospectors in Somalia

  • Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, Pajamas Media reported that Iran is secretly searching for uranium in war-torn Somalia, according to a confidential United Nations report.

 

China, Russia Support European Draft on Iran Curbs

  • Bloomberg reported that China and Russia expressed support for new European proposals to impose sanctions on Iran.
  • Reuters reported that Britain and France plan to introduce on Monday a revised U.N. Security Council draft resolution imposing sanctions on Iran.

 

West Condemns Iran Holocaust Conference

  • The Telegraph reported that Monday more than 60 foreign "researchers" from 30 countries are scheduled to take part in the event, "Study of the Holocaust: A Global Perspective," which the Iranian government insists is not aimed at denying the Holocaust.

 

Seeking Iran Intelligence, U.S. Tries Google

  • The Washington Post reported that when the State Department recently asked the CIA for names of Iranians who could be sanctioned for their involvement in a clandestine nuclear weapons program, the agency refused, so the State Department turned to Google.

 

OPEC Abandons U.S. Dollar

  • News Max reported that Iran and other OPEC nations have reduced their dollar holdings to the lowest level in two years and shifted oil income into other currencies.

  • New York Post reported that Sen. John McCain said "The Iranian regime defines itself by hostility to Israel and the United States ... We are dealing with a possibly deranged and surely dangerous regime."

I hope so, but when dealing with a dictator, and embarrassing him in the international media, the outcome is normally bad.

OTOH, it could be a staged bit of disinformation *because* of the international media........

It takes a lot of guts to protest against folks like Ahmadinejad. You may be kicked out of school, arrested, and often disappear....

before November 7th! No doubt these students
were inspired by U.S.Democrats gaining Congress!
