The Union of Concerned Scientists is a hard-left lobbying group. Their only concern about biased data is that it isn't being biased to favor their agenda.

The statement, which includes the backing of 52 Nobel Laureates, demands a restoration of scientific integrity in government policy. 52 is a deck of cards and all run a chance.

Screw these whining crybabies; they want their junk science to be used by the Democrats as a propaganda tool to push forward the agenda to turn America into a French-style, secular-socialist welfare state, but they stomp their feet when somebody disagrees with them.

Good link. Yep, this "American Union of Concerned Scientists" is a pinko outfit, alright.

By the way, Franklin's reply was, "A republic, if you can keep it."

Did they mention Olympia Snow's censorship threat against any scientist who doesn't knuckle under to the Great Religion of Global Warming?

"It's very difficult to make good public policy without good science, and it's even harder to make good public policy with bad science," said Dr Peter Gleick, president of the Pacific Institute for Studies in Development, Environment and Security. I suppose it is even more difficult to produce good science when its only purpose is to support the policies you have blind faith in.

IMO, one of the biggest issues facing man at present is that science and technology are getting up into altitudes that infringe upon other aspects of our existence.
An apt metaphor might be that of the legend-myth of Daedalus and Icarus.
Do they want to operate without taxpayer funding?

Environmental is not a science, has never been a science and probably will never be science.

political interference in the scientific processFor this group, and too many others, the "scientific process" itself is political.

I agree totally. Being a scientist in America is like being a two-star General, you have to be a politician if you want to continue to exist. The best of the best of US scientist are no longer scientist.
