In other words, I was expecting hundreds of posts, especially in a mainly conservative forum where the idea of a real conservative running for the presidency would be greeted with excitement and enthusiasm, generating lots of replies.
I guarantee you that this thread would have gotten a lot more responses if I had made the title:
Duncan Hunter on the issuse [Possible GOP presidential candidate?]
Or something like that. Immediately after I posted it, I regretted not doing so.
Even so, this thread has gotten a lot more traction than I thought it would.
I'm a glass half-full type of guy...

DUNCAN who?????? BAWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
These are the kinds of responses that give me great hope for Congressman Hunter, BTW.
I was hoping to see a lot more criticism of him on here, but I guess the RINOs/trolls haven't done their homework on Cong. Hunter yet. So far, the mud they've been flinging is pretty thin, indeed.
When he cracks 10%, then they'll start to get scared...

Typical.
I have read ALOT about DUNCAN. He THINKS correctly but just isn't electable (VP maybe?). You should be careful about the quick labelling. I do not post but have been a member here since 2000. I stood with 'Doug from upland' and chanted for the slick miester to get out of Bush's house. I attended the first FREEPER BALL in DC.
I practice what I preach, we need a candidate that can win this cycle, not MR PERFECT 'SOCIAl CONSERVATIVE' or an unknown congresscritter. GROW UP!

Guys who post in all caps would do well not to tell others to "grow up."
Otherwise, your opinion is an appeal to the personal authority of an anonymous poster. Not much weight there.
I'm content to let Hunter test the waters and see how much support he can attract. For my part, I'd vote for him over any of the other declared GOP candidates.

Hey Tony,
Get the mod to change the title for you. I have the feeling that once the title is changed and Freepers see Hunter's voting record they will flood this thread. Man, it's not late!
Hunter needs lots of exposure and I'm sure as you said, let Hunter test the waters and see how much support he can attract. As you also pointed out, when he cracks 10%, then they'll start to get scared... but we need to get him there.
Please, keep me posted.
P.S. Let's not scare other Freepers by calling them names. We need to be friendly and welcome everyone. The GOP is supposed to be a big a tent not just a little club. We need more than 10% of the GOP vote if we want Hunter to win the primaries.
I need to start wrapping my Christmas presents.
Be back later.

If you are going to continue to post this list of Duncan Hunter's positions here, you need to include his Pro-2nd Amendment position. And you should probably mention that he is rated "A+" by the NRA...

It's worth a lot. Hunter is impressing a lot of people. It's important that we not let the MSM, DNC, and RINOs drown him out with "All Rudy McRomney, all the time."

This is good. I was beginning to think I would have to choose between Hillary, McCain, and Rudy...or even Romney, who sounds nice but a little too wishy washy for my taste.
