I am a new member here, this is my first post.. but I have been reading from this site for awhile now.
There were many posts I felt the urge to reply to, but this one made me go ahead and register :P

One thing I have noticed (from Japan), is that the LSM (I'm sure most of you know what this is, but for those who don't... it's Lame Stream Media) is still spewing their propaganda saying that the Iraqis AND the US troops want the US to leave. I know this is a bunch of BS.... Thank God for the internet since the English printed newspapers here rely on LA Times, WaPo, and NYT.

It makes me sick that on the top of the newspaper that I receive daily, it says, "All the News without fear or favor".

I want to send in an editorial, but the moon-bats here outnumber me by 1000 to 1, it seems.... and the few conservs that are here, gave up on speaking up against their babble years ago. Can't win a debate against a rock....

Point being that most people that 'read' or watch the news, might not be seeing what we are seeing. I was involved in the 1st Gulf war, BTW... so I know how this BS flows... :\

Welcome to Free Republic!

Can't win a debate against a rock....

I know that feeling & it is one of the reasons I FReep.

Much of the American left fears "permanent state of war", listen to them cite Orwell's "1984" and "the military industrial complex", as they're mentally stuck in the anti-American mentality of decades past. While the Cold War has ended, we're dealing with some of the blowback from it. The left never meant for the US to be on the winning side of the Cold War, which is one of the main reasons the left faults the US for everything the US did to fight it. It's like, the US still has some karma to work off, before the left feels they can support the US again. Maybe the next big strike against the homeland will bring them around. Sad that I feel it will take that for them, but there it is.
