President Bush will hold a press conference this morning at 10 a.m. Eastern time. He will be making a statement on Iraq.

Well, I'm late too and I HAVE NO CAR!! My water pump went out -- hopefully it'll be done today, but we had a server go out in our office, so getting my car back rapidly became a LOW priority! Waaaaaa!

You're right.
The media are very ignorant as well. Add to that, they hate Bush and don't want the public to understand.
Their frame of reference is Vietnam, where we failed (although our fighting men did not) and they're glad we did.

I was surprised to read this morning that the president said we weren't winning in Iraq. With all due respect to the president, there is no reason to believe anything he says at all. His previous statements that "we're winning in Iraq" have been exposed as a complete fraud.
Nothing against him personally, mind you. It's just that governments lie to their citizenry with such boring regularity that it's amazing anyone would listen to them at all anymore.
