Ahmadinejad says Israel, US, Britain will vanish 'this is a divine promise;' Iran demands UN Security Council condemn Israel's nuclear development, place Israel's facilities under inspection

Well, Ollie North would know about Iran, wouldn't he? ;-)
No need to bomb them just tell the companies who are doing business in Iran, building it's oil refining capacity (tell them they can't do business in the US and freeze their assets). Iran imports about 20% of it's petroleum needs (despite exporting so much oil) and won't be selfsufficient until 2008 at the earliest.
The Iranian government will soon come around when they can't afford to subsidise refined petroleum products from their neighbours.
Great Card...........Can we send one to the CAIR central.
Unless we have people who are courageous enough to admit that on more than one occasion, the Islamics have threatened us with nuclear destructuion and that we should strike the heart of our enemy, we will lose...
Having a politically correct Gestapo running around telling us what we cannot say is no different than giving in to the enemy...
Suggested reading for Ahmedinnerjacketnotrequired: history since Kruschev said "We will bury you!" and banged his shoe on the table at the UN.
It is the heart of Islam that needs to be reduced to rubble... that is in Saudi Arabia...
Ahmanutjob seems to have two distinct rhetorics, soft and hard. He seems to be back in soft mode now, where he offers geopolitical predictions for the future that seem more to be the work of Islamic "Providence" than any direct provocation, threat or promise likely to be carried out by his own "regime". To constantly talk about nations and peoples "disappearing" or "vanishing" seems to be a conjuring of literal Islamic magic. Previously, he has said, or at least has been quoted to have said that "Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth"---but even in "hard" mode, I tend to think that it would be very difficult to nail him for his "threats"---they are too ambiguous to be considered anything but delusional, and he always eventually crouches in retreat into that defensive posture where he "promises" he will destroy us "if" (but maybe not "only if")we try to destroy him first. This is one slippery, unprecedentedly slippery creature, on all levels, especially the semantic. He will be acted upon ONLY if he acts first.
I saw your 49 after I posted my 168, but they seem to be linked.
LOL! Blast from the past - you're right.
BTT
"no, they won't pretend that the nutjob didn't say this, but they will say we need to talk to him so more and keep talking with no action."
I am confused. I thought they were against "stay the course".
Oh, that is right, they are against "stay the course" in Iraq, not Iran.
with peanut eyes...
Either way = trust in god but keep your powder dry.
This guy will start a nuke war if he can. Its a given.
We should surround Iran, and stop all Iranian commerce.
He wants a showdown, lets do it, now.
Waiting another year will only raise the stakes.
2:1 Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.
4 He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
6 As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill.
