Even if the nutcase Ahmadinejhad (sp?) is successful at "wiping" out any of these three countries, there's enough submarine and other nuke capability to lay waste to the entire Middle East. If we are not careful in what we do, a cataclysmic event may occur where there are no winners, but everyone becomes a loser, and the result will be similar to what might occur in an extremely fast-acting ice age.
"the nutcase Ahmadinejhad (sp?)"
I think it's spelled Abadababoobooday.
"falsely blaming Muslem terrorists to use that as an excuse for essentially wiping the vast majority of Muslims and their institutions off the face of the earth."
Gee, this sounds like those post 9/11 analyses that said the US and Israel planted bombs to make it LOOK like the planes dropped the towers, to make Islam look bad.
You can bet that if a nuke goes off in an American city, that will be the second news story right behind "Madonna urges restraint".
Actually, that was/is the plan of the Russians and Chinese to get us, and rid themselves of the Islamists at the same time.
When asked if he was in favor of taking out the Iranian facilities, David Frum said, "No, I'm not. I think global thermonuclear war creates more problems than it solves."
I just read Wildfire, gave me the shivers. However, now I'm reading Oliver North's Assassins and that is really scaring me. Takes place in 2007 and with the way things are going with Iran, it's believable.
I think I bought that for my dad, or whichever his newest one is. Being that now I know the premise of the story, I think I'll pick it up when he's done with it.
