Iran ordered to pay $254 million in Khobar Towers bombing
- Reuters reported that a U.S. federal judge on Friday ordered the Islamic Republic of Iran to pay $254 million to the family of 17 U.S. servicemen killed in the 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers residence at a U.S. military base in Saudi Arabia.

- The Washington Institute for Near East Policy reported that Iran has developed innovative, asymmetric naval warfare tactics that exploit its favorable geographic situation, build on its strengths, and target the vulnerabilities of its enemies.

- AlJazeera reported that the Islamic Republic has hanged three people for allegedly carrying out bombings in the oil rich Khuzestan province.

A "gathering of the pro-Mullah clans" and their religious leaders is currently taking place at the Westin Hotel at Los Angeles' LAX airport.
Someone wants us to take some big hits. Thin out the pop. A hit on big city would mainly harm minorities, the poor, and the aged. You can bet they know this too. Think of medicare, S.S. Medicade, the cost. You bet they know.
I think it has been masterful to keep this down and not open fronts with Iran and Syria. Meanwhile we have recruited and trained indigenous forces. Ledeen is a little too smart for his own good, imho. C-span has been playing up a ex CIA dissenter this week griping about how the White House censored a NYT op-ed by Flynt ___ asserting the grand bargain with Iran strategy.
