For several years after the paper was signed in a boxcar ending WWII in Europe an organization called The German Werewolves, (German Nazis) continued to kill American and German civilians. These murderers killed several thousand people before they were finally all hunted down and eliminated.
This is just one of those little historical facts that the "run-away-cowards" have to ignore to justify their own position.
Wars are fought until they are won or lost no matter how long it takes. This person wants to lose, just give up and surrender. The problem with that is that our children will have to fight this war all over again and if they lose our way of life may no longer exist. None of us like our children dieing half way around the world. I personally don't want to see our sisters and mothers dieing on main street USA either. If we don't kill the Muslim extremists over there they have already sworn to kill our loved ones here. All these cowards have to do is listen to the threats of our enemies to know what this is all about. But they won't listen our enemies promise of forcefully and violently imposed Islam on our country anymore than they will acknowledge the German Werewolves.

Dear Helen,
I would like President Bush to continue this war for as long as he can. I love war. President Bush is the Commander-in-Chief, and does not owe an explanation to a dried up clothes bag masquerading as a reporter.
Best Regards,
Bush Voter

As long as somebody's punching you in the nose, one has a moral obligation to defend oneself. When a bully is doing that to a weaker friend, one has a moral obligation to defend him/her/them.
When the bully quits bothering the defender, THAT'S when the war ends.

Wow. This article is stupid, even for Thomas.

I think the enemy will stop fighting when America's people really want to kill ALL the enemy. KILL them all. Kill THEM all. KILL THEM ALL.
Since they don't want to be killed, they will then negotiate. So long as we are willing to negotiate, they will be willing to fight.
Human nature.

Uh . . . . . gee, Helen, . . . . . . at a guess, I would say that the Iraq War is still going on because it isn't finished, yet.
Why do you keep showing up at White House press conferences?

Ain't nuthin' wrong with exterminating the pestilience known as 'Islam'...
...as well as all it's adherents.
We used to say 'The only good Injun is a dead Injun' back when the 'Injuns' where a significent threat to American civilians.
And nowadays, those 'injuns' aren't a threat anymore, are they?
Maybe we oughtta be treating Muslims the same...
But those pesky Demoncraps wouldn't like that; nor would those here who believe that wars are fought in which US soldiers die - but heaven forbid we harm one little hair on the head of anyone who isn't our stated enemy.

I think you answered your own question. Any fight to keep an existing ideology from spreading is never-ending. That means actual fighting over this issue forever. No doubt you've seen the Iranian, Saudi, Palesinian, etc. TV spots. Hatred and murder has been ingrained in their children for generations and generations.
---
In all due respect, that is total bullcr@p!
You destroy an ideology by killing all those that believe in it and destroying all records of it.
No people or books left... and the ideology ceases to exist.
Much like how the Mongols completed destroyed the pre-existing cultures of Central Asia during their conquests.
Or like the Mohicans (Native Americans). Once we killed them all off (and since they had no written language), their religion and culture died with them.
That's how you destroy an ideology. That's how we'll win. Anything else simply delays our own destruction.

See post #56 for an effective ideology crusher.
The question is whether our morals will allow us to crush this ideology, not whether we physically can...
