  • Middle East Newsline reported that several hundred Hamas operatives have recently left the Gaza Strip for Iran for several weeks of military training by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
  • Debka Files claim that Iranian officers have taken command of the Palestinian Gaza missile front.

 

Iran parliament votes to reduce IAEA cooperation

  • DNA India reported that Iran's parliament on Wednesday approved a bill that obliges the government to "revise its cooperation" with the UN nuclear watchdog after Tehran was slapped with Security Council sanctions.

 

Iran Is Buying More Influence in Afghanistan

  • The New York Times reported that the Iranian regime has distributed more than $200 million in Afghanistan and Iranian radio stations are broadcasting anti-American propaganda into Afghanistan.

 

NYT Update: U.S. Says Captured Iranians Can Be Linked to Attacks

  • The New York Times reported that, in an update on the Iranians captured in Iraq, credible evidence linking them to attacks against American forces and to shipments of weapons to illegal armed groups in Iraq.

 

Iran’s Ahmadinejad writes letter to pope

  • MSNBC reported that Pope Benedict XVI received a letter Wednesday from Iran's hard-line president about the recent U.N. Security Council resolution imposing sanctions against Tehran.

  • The American Thinker challenged the MSM's claim of a "larger then expect turnout in Iran's partial elections."

 

The Showdown with Iran

  • Ken Timmerman, FrontPageMag reported that the nuclear crisis with Iran has finally erupted and we should expect things to get much worse, with a very real possibility of war.

 

Hit the Islamic Republic where it hurts

  • Dick Morris, The New York Post argued that there is something the U.S. government, state governments, labor unions, pension funds and each of us as individuals can do to stop Iran's drive to build a nuclear bomb. Not until we "have" to..it is un-PC to kill our enemies at this time.

Maybe right after the 2nd or 3rd islm attacks on American cities it will be possible. We know for absolute sure that 3000 dead in one attack is not strong enough to spur our leaders to wage a proper war.

The question is then:

....just what level of mayhem must be reeked on the U.S. and just how many Americans must die due to muslim attacks will it take to cause whatever administration in charge to wage war like America has in the past and could again?

And there is no easy way of walking this back. Even the insane Baker-Hamilton proposal of a direct dialogue with Iran will not get them to abandon their nuclear program, which this regime in Tehran has clearly identified as a strategic asset it is willing to make great sacrifices to develop and protect.
