Three people have been injured by the explosion of a car bomb in the parking of the T-4 [Terminal #4] of Barajas Airport in Madrid around 9:00 AM this Saturday. They are agents of the National Police corps. The Madrid regional government has activated alert level 2 in the region and the SAMUR has set up a portable hospital next to the way out of the terminal. The news agency Vasco press attribute to ETA a call around 8:00 AM to the road assistance asociation DYA in Guipuzcoa [Basque Country] warning of the planting of a bomb in a Renault Traffic van parked next to the T-4. Aena [Spanish airport authority] has cancelled the air traffic in Barajas as the Security Forces search [for more devices]. On August 28th 2001, ETA planted a car loaded with 45 kilograms of dynamite in the T-2 of Barajas, producing a 30 meter wide hole.

Don't begin to say it was Al Qaeda, as in 3/11, because it is not and it was not.

Barajas Airport, Spanish main and Europe's gateway to Latin America, remains closed. All flights cancelled.
Passengers have been evacuted out of the Terminal and stayed on a runway next to it. Broken glasses, dust and smoke. The police search for devices.

"The police search for devices."
Good deal.
Just because 1 went off, doesn't mean there aren't more.

It is the usual protocol, though when ETA says there was just one, it is generally true.
It seems ETA-Zapatero common strategy after 3/11 is developing some cracks.

Who/what is ETA?
Please excuse my ignorance but I'm kind of new to the news "chewing" scene and I'm not familiar all these different terrorist organizations

ETA is a Basque 'separatist' organization which demands an independent homeland for the Basque people.
You can google "Basque" for more information on their rather unique culture and language as well as the primary location of the ethnic group.

You're most welcome.
The Basque language is very interesting. No one seems to really know exactly where it came from and it bears almost no linquistic relationship to any other European language.
Oh and ETA has been blowing up things and people in Spain for the last 40 or 50 years IIRC.

Well, it seems to have been a longer cease fire than a typical middle east - "Palestine" cease fire.

ETA is a gang of criminals created by the Basque Catholic Church in the 1960´s to fight for the "independence" of the never independent before Basque country.
They could not wait to Franco's death as the rest of Spaniards.
ETA has survived setting its infrastructure in France, country that did not really tackled them until 1986, after members of the Socialist Party had set death squads that operated in Southern France, known as the GAL.
ETA is today an organization that hides its main task of carrying out extortion, as any other Mafia, (estimated 6 million euro profit in the last months) behind political ends.
ETA has wide indirect support in the Basque country due to the economic privileges the citizens of that Spanish region obtain from the National government, among others, a completely independent Taxation system.
ETA tried to kill right wing leader Aznar in 1995. Aznar cornered ETA twice once in each of his two terms. American intelligence information seems to have been critical.
However, 3/11 changed all this.
ETA was implicated in the operations surrounding that attack, although the direct planting of the bombs is still undisclosed.
ETA, along with the Spanish Socialist Party, were the main beneficiaries of 3/11 (both organizations forced to dissapear if not). They have acted coordinatelly after the massacre.
They have called this "Peace process". International MSM have supported the lie.

Why does the CNN not tell the truth?
ETA claim in Madrid airport blast
[...] Saturday's explosion, which came shortly after the execution of Saddam Hussein in Iraq, raised fears of a retaliatory strike in a country that has suffered attacks in response to its support for international military operations.[...]
ETA announced almost one hour before the explosion that had planted a bomb in a van at the parking of the T-4 terminal. We all know it was ETA.
Why do they lie then? Why do they link Saddam Hussein with Islamists? Why does the CNN support, in news completely related to ETA, the Official Version of 3/11?

So much for the ETA's pledge to cease violence a year or two ago. Still, this bomb seems more powerful than most of their stuff, no?

A man waited in a car parked in that building. He is missing, likely dead.
Bloggers and partcipants in the Spanish internet forums comment Zapatero's government don't want to tell to the media that a man is presumiably dead. The first terrorism victim in Zapatero's term.

Not necesarily. ETA set a 200 kg device in a car to blow up
Vic's Civil Guard offices. Two ETA members were caught with a van loaded with 500 kg of low power cloratite explosive, two weeks before 3/11.

Don't believe what the MSM tell.
The Spanish Socialist Party and ETA reached an agreement before 3/11 and the "Peace process" portrayed by the media was just the enacting of a common strategy agreed then.
ETA won't cease violence unless its objectives are accomplished.
