Time to contact Archbishop Wuerl (Archdiocese of Washington DC) to request that Pelosi not be allowed to disgrace the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with her pro-abort politics

I would only add that the development of self-discipline is so crucial to success in life that eludes the victims of liberals. That's why distributing free condoms doesn't help people much. Catholic education was based on a discipline that public schools lack.

Another poster on an earlier thread said that Wuerl, while he may be conservative in some ways and is opposed to abortion, is a big-time Dem. This poster was not hoping for much from him. I hope he proves us wrong. The bishops have been getting away with this "seamless garment" thing, which essentially means that accepting Dem welfare-state positions is as important as protecting the unborn, for so long that I think they've become very confused.

Abp Wuerl is expected to be appointed a Cardinal later this year, btw, as is normal for the DC bishop.

Perhaps, as Archbishop Wuerl wrote, Pelosi will come on her knees before the Lord, publicly repudiate her support for abortion, human embryonic stem cell research and other crimes against life, and “respond to God’s loving call with a ‘yes’ of faith.”

Yeah, and perhaps Not!

The film clip used by TV news to show the 'dignitaries' visiting Ford's remains in the Rotunda, has President and Mrs Bush bowing their heads, his parents walking up to the casket, the Clintions smirking, and Ms Pelosi making a very grand Sign of the Cross.

It is a terrible shame that she and our senator, Barbara Mikulski, who both had 16 years of Catholic education, are such terrible representatives of our Faith, and of Baltimore; and in Nancy's case - of Trinity University. I'm sure the founders of the order who run Trinity, the Sisters of Noter Dame de Namur, are spinning in their graves. Unfortunately, too many modern nuns believe so wholeheartedly in the platform of the dem party, that they either 'overlook' the plank on abortion accessibility, or actively support abortion in the name of the "poor."

Who put her where she was put there by all the people harping about Bush on the rep side instead of sticking up for reps. The oh we don't always get along with the president and gave the libs More fuel on the fire. Whose fault is it but the reps holy rollers who wanted to teach the country a lessen by not voting. Now we have this, we have to love her and her comments. Does anyone really think the catholic church will disavow her actions, they could not handle the priest issue let alone her? Come on it is nobody's fault she is in power but our own. Even God said tend to your own house first. What lesson did we learn,if you don't vote bad politicians are elected by good people who do not vote?

Sorry to say, but it basically depends on who you are and/or how much money you have.

following the rules of the Catholic Church is no mean feat. Those who DO observe Catholicism in all its demands and richness deserve to be respected by the Church's declining participation in apostate Pelosi's use of its facilities and her alleged identification with the Church.

I am NOT a Catholic, but I DO respect those who faithfully practice the faith.

How Archbishop Wuerl handles this situation will speak volumes about him. Will he act courageously? Let's pray that he does. Or will he hide quietly, "go-with-the-flow," and let the posturing by Pelosi continue?
We'll know tomorrow. Stay tuned.

It is about time for these phony pro-abort Catholic politicians to be excommunicated.

The lib Dems want Catholic votes, but are against Catholics.

This from afa.net:

On May 1, in a Senate Judiciary Committee session, Senator Charles Schumer of
New York said that J. Leon Holmes was disqualified as a candidate for a federal
judge appointment because of his “deeply held conservative religious views.”
Holmes is a Catholic.

On June 11, 2004, speaking of Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor, a nominee for the
appellate court, Schumer said Pryor’s beliefs “are so well known, so deeply held
that it’s hard to believe that they’re not going to influence” his decisions.
Attorney General Pryor is a Catholic. Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California also
opposed Pryor because of his “deeply held religious beliefs.”

Pelosi is either a Catholic or a legislator who actively promotes the wholesale slaughter of human babies.

She can't be both. No-one can be both.

She's a democrat. They'll still vote for her. So what?

It's Pelosi's fault.

She is a CINO!
