Developing Story
Shooting at Tacoma high school - Students at Foss High School in Tacoma are being released following a shooting in the parking lot of the school. One student has been taken to the hospital. Parents are asked to pick up their kids between 8:30 and 9 a.m.

Students gather outside Foss High School after a student was shot in the parking lot.
TACOMA, Wash. - Tacoma Police say one person was shot this morning in the parking lot of Foss High School.
Tacoma school district spokeswoman Patty Holmgren said a male student was wounded and police are looking for the suspect. She said police know who the suspect is.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. His condition is not yet known.
Police initially locked down the school and later allowed students to leave. School has been canceled for the day and parents are asked to pick up their kids between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
There were no other injuries reported.

1 student (male) shot, died on way to hospital.
2 people were 'involved'. One brought the gun to school and shot the other (male).
Perp has apparently escaped from the campus and is on the loose.

Male student. Presumably male perp. police know who the person is, once refered to as he. Police not releasing name, gender. believed to have escaped school.
