MONICA MADNESS

BUBBA'S DEM CHIEF BARES HILL TENSION

By MAGGIE HABERMAN

(snip)

Bill Clinton described that time period as "absolute living hell," McAuliffe said.

He uses the book to claim that Kerry, who lost his 2004 challenge to President Bush, had a bumbling and wavering campaign team that was tripped up by a smoother machine.

"I thought the decision of the Kerry campaign to back off any real criticism of Bush was one of the biggest acts of political malpractice in the history of American politics," McAuliffe wrote.

(snip)

McAuliffe says Kerry's aides wanted to oust him as party head once the Massachusetts senator secured the nomination. He said he was never invited to a single meeting at Kerry headquarters.

McAuliffe has made clear he'll back Sen. Clinton, the Democratic front-runner, if she makes her almost-certain run for president in 2008.

(snip)

.... he was held back from attacking Bush's military record by Kerry's campaign, and that he was never asked to take part in a strategy meeting inside the Democratic nominee's nerve center.

He also complains that Kerry aides insisted that speeches given at the Democratic National Convention not mention Bush, even while Republicans ripped Kerry to shreds at their own nominating event.

But McAuliffe claims credit for secretly egging on the Rev. Al Sharpton to slam the president in a speech that ended up being a convention highlight.

Responding to McAuliffe's book, Kerry spokesman David Wade said: "It's time to look forward, not backwards."

On the bizarre side, McAuliffe tells of having his leg rubbed by the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat at a dinner.

Well, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but even in the last debacle, the problem was disunion on the right rather than effective propaganda from the left. You say rightly that their error is to always assume that clear smooth politicking will generate success.

If that were so then plenty of products that have long since gone into the dumper would be avidly used. They aren't, even when the campaign to promote them was well-chosen and well-thought-out. If you live by selling the sizzle, then in the end, the steak has to actually HAVE the sizzle.

And his perspective is to be expected, because, after all, his business and his entire life is built around spin and the creation of spin.

He may not even understand the concept of honesty and truth anymore, as to recognize such constructs at all would be an impediment toward his doing his job effectively.

And the purpose of the Punk's new book is??? Inquiring minds want to know.

To generate sympathy and positive press for the "poor, suffering Hillary" and to cement a major, leadership position for himself in her '08 campaign.

By the way, it's 70 degrees in NYC today and I would rather be sloshing around in my snow boots--Algore, please save the planet!

Be sure to remember your sunglasses (the big "Italian Movie Star" style are always a sure fashion winner)

"I thought the decision of the Kerry campaign to back off any real criticism of Bush was one of the biggest acts of political malpractice in the history of American politics,"

This is what should be focused on here. McAuliffe is admitting that their method is bound up in lying. Kerry refused to invent a lot of criticism and did not have much to criticize to begin with. McAuliffe shows the colors of the fundamentalist lying left. He considered it political malpractice to not attack like he wants. Its bastards like this I resent in Politics.

His job is spin; spin usually means lying.  For Terry, to not lie is to not have a job.

I see, the first book to claim sympathy for the Clintons and how they aren't bad and they were only victims of the right wing conspiracy. Not that they had anything to do with anything bad. Yeah, right.

It should do nicely as rationale for Hillary to hire him for a major, leadership position in her 'o8 campaign and to get invited to all of the DC cocktail parties.

Hopefully, they will never see the even the doors of the White House again.

I refuse to believe that the American voters would be so breathtakingly stupid, not after all that's happened with the Clintons.

But then again, Oprah is the most powerful woman in entertainment......

I wonder if reverend Jacko knew where those hands have been?

No, I won't think about it.  Today has been going awfully well and I have no desire to pollute my neural landscape.:-)

...as it is for those in the GOP, but "spin" does not equal lie all the time. Spin CAN be simply putting a positive face on it or even trying to tell the lying bastard in the press that what you said is simply what you said. That very ugly person in the white house press corps always says spin meaning lie and thats not the case. If President Bush wants "No Child Left Behind" its for the reasons the Press Secretary says. All seem to call it spin...is it a lie? No, for McAuliffe it is mostly about hiding who the candidate REALLY is and that, my friends, is simply LYING....not spin.

Monica Lewinsky Earns Degree

Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, whose special services for former President Bill Clinton scandalized the nation, has graduated from the London School of Economics with a Masters of Science degree in Social Psychology. Lewinsky, now 32, was 21 when she began her sexual relationship with Clinton.

In completing her degree, Ms. Lewinski authored a thesis entitled “In Search of the Presidential Member: An Exploration of the Genitalia of a Powerful Man.”

“It was a unique academic achievement,” said Peter Eaton, Dean of the London School of Economics. “In all of recorded history I don’t think there has been a more intimate study of a head of state. And her oral defense of her thesis just blew me away. Having her here was a most satisfying experience for the entire faculty.”

Yeah, thanks very much, Terry. The news of the day is, we have quite a bit more on Mrs. Clinton. If she has lived a perfect, exemplary, saintly life, she has nothing to worry about. Just wait :-)

P.S. I don't believe that if elected, she'd bring back the White House silverware. It would make a dandy campaign slogan for her, though. I WILL BRING BACK THE UNITED STATES SILVERWARE! I ONLY BORROWED IT!

Hahahaha!

Hadn't seen that for a while.

But y'know, if that's all the Clintons did, steal everything out of the White House, I'd have called it a great deal for America -- just to get them the BLEEP out of town. Heck, I'd pay all 535 MCs $1 billion each, tax free, to shut Washington down, go home and never come back.

It's a sad thought that they could end up back in the White House.

She was on a plane heading from California to Little Rock when Foster died. She knew. She knew. She had abruptly called off her whole week in California and was rushing back... She knew he was going to die.

But she was calm in the crisis. No time for grief. Within hours, in the middle of the night, she had her aides ransack Foster's office, carting away files. Violating a crime scene? Interfering with an official investigation? Obstruction of justice? Not when the Empress herself gives the orders.

Why the Hell isn't McAuliffe sitting in federal prison for making millions in Global Crossing?

Why isn't Bill Clinton sitting in prison for rape, lying under oath, treason, etc?

Why isn't Hillary sitting in prison for travelgate, aiding and abetting treason, aiding and abetting lying under oath, Whitewater, MaproomGate, destroying documents pertinent to a Federal investigation, dispersing Top Secret documents to unauthorized persons, using Top Secret documents to build a political database, etc. etc.

Why isn't Sandy Burglar sitting in prison for the theft of Highly Classified documents?

Why isn't Dan Rather sitting in jail for slander?

And the list goes on and on and on, but I would suggest that the same answer can be used for all:  Leftist elitists are above the laws that you and I are required to adhere to.

First of all, Dan Rather put an end to any criticism of President Bush's Texas Air National Guard service.

But only because President Bush won't be running again.  If he were, then we could count on another "objective, nonpartisan and highly professional journalist" to manufacture another lie and come out with it two weeks before the next election.

Second, by insisting that it was Kerry's poor campaign that gave Bush the victory is insinuating that the President would not have won re-election if Kerry had been smarter. A subtle put down of the President. Or not so subtle.

Or, a put-down of Kerry.

Let's hope that anything we've got can make it past the Media's Iron Curtain and the Democrat Vote Fraud Machine..  The Swift Boat Vets wouldn't have gotten anywhere without talk radio and the blogs, and even with them recounting seemingly endless damning truths about sKerry that they could solidly back up with unimpeachable testimony, President Bush only won by 50 thousand or so votes in Ohio.  It was terrifyingly close and way too close for comfort.

P.S. I don't believe that if elected, she'd bring back the White House silverware.

No, by now she's got it all engraved with her own initials anyway.

It would make a dandy campaign slogan for her, though. I WILL BRING BACK THE UNITED STATES SILVERWARE! I ONLY BORROWED IT!

Oh lawd, and the media would give her a pass for that too.

That whole DEATH LIST of the Clinton associates used to intrigue me. When it comes right down to it, I'll have to take McCain over her for the White House.
