Where were you when the Pomeranian attacked?

You've heard the expression "no good deed goes unpunished"?

Well we paid for half of the Pomeranian's vet bill. Over $300 bucks. We did it because we felt sorry for the little dog. Stupid dog. What the hell, a ten pound dog attacking an 80 pound dog? What was it thinking?

I never, not in a million years, thought it would happen AGAIN! Husband and I figured, offer to pay half the bill just to be nice. Even those folks stated they knew we had no obligation to pay...again, their dog was LOOSE and attacked Jo-Ann, on a public street as she was on a leash and tethered in a harness. We did get them to sign a disclaimer that this was not an admission of guilt but we never would have done such a thing had I one inkling that another dog would attack Jo-Ann. We are not rich for God's sake and go with me here, DOGS SHOULD NOT BE RUNNING LOOSE!

My Vet says that Jo-Ann is a like a beautiful woman and is tempting to dogs. He then went on to say "if a beautiful woman is raped because she's beautiful, is it her fault?"

Hey, I'm not real sure I understand his logic as it sure seems a stretch to me. But for sure I've got this Belgian Malinois and hey, she is a beautiful dog, that keeps getting attacked, I simply could not make this shit up.

PLUS, with the Pomeranian Jo-Ann suffered nary a scratch. The cocker did get a nasty bite in. The Pomeranian merely ran directly up under Jo-Ann's mouth and soon that little scruff was being swung back and forth in Jo-Ann's mouth like he was a little rag doll. I did give Jo-Ann the command to "DROP" and she did.

She's a wonderful dog and the SPCA guy knew it. Case closed.

LOL! I got a Cuisinart from the Chef's Catalogue. It is SUPER for slicing things, although if you can't leave it set up all the time it would be pretty cumbersome to move around just for slicing tomatoes.

I used it to make a really good ham salad after Christmas, sliced lemons for drinks and garnishes, chopped nuts in large batches for cookies, and some other stuff I can't remember. I use it 3-4 times a week.

What I chiefly need the mixer for is making cookie dough. Stiff cookie dough is sort of hard for me to manage and a Kitchenaid with dough hooks looks to me to be the solution.

Did not know you need a quorum to speak or is that just to vote? We often only have about half a dozen member in either of are chambers unless there is an important debate or vote especially late evening.

Rachael Ray is just a tall midget.

Don't you find her head to be a bit LARGE for her body? Its too distracting. I watch her $40 a day show, but all I can think about is "That chick is a midget, and passing for normal...." I cant help it!

Thanks for the information on Davis. I had never seen him before. I wonder where Ford will end up now that he's not in Congress? My bet is on Fox, as much as they sucked up to him.

Graham (who I do not like at all) just did a very good job explaining what is at stake if they force a withdrawal from Iraq.

Neighbours can be a pain especially if you have animals and then do not like or understand them.

One set of neighbours made my parents life a misery reporting them to the local council etc etc., all because they keep pigeons.

They complained of flies etc etc, interesting bit when they moved, fly problem seemed to go away I think they may well have been a contributing factor.

And now Hannity has a new Sunday night (I think it is) program on FoxNews.

[I seldom watch his weeknight TV program. It is like the Sunday Morning programs --- same ole guests, same ole topics, same ole arguments, same ole talking points. The only thing worse is pittbull Greta on Aruba.]

Actually, Sean Hannity has an attractive offer from a rival network. So, Fox want to keep him and make him happier without a lib like Colmes.

Ha HA. My Kitchenaid Beast cuts through stiff cookie dough like buttah! So glad I dumped the girlfriend and kept the mixer! I am even contemplating the Alton Brown flames for the thing. I leave it on the counter, cause it impresses the ladies....

Graham's master (McCain) is trying to win the SC primary, hence the view of the war and our troops important to SC voters.
