Good thing too ......cuz some unknown like Hunter or Huckabee would get their asses kicked by the dims in 08

Face it. It is an uphill struggle for whoever the "R" is in 08. Especially if Iraq remains unfinished.

As for Hunter or Huckabee they may be unknown now but surely would not be if they manage to win the Republican nomination. Kerry was very well known. Gore was V.P. Didn't help them.

Bill Clinton had the same job that unknown Huckabee has today: Gov. of Arkansas. Seemed to be no impediment to him winning the nomination and presidency twice.

Why is this, then, an impossible position for Huckabee?

I probably agree that Duncan Hunter won't win the nomination. No Representative has since before WWII.

One thing is that the money has gotten real big...real fast if your not a star like Obama or Rudy your DOA financially.

2nd...I think after 16 years the electorate is tired of Southern governors.
