Louise and Johnson Clark's most recent anti-America display.
This is not exactly a great place for a demonstration. Traffic there is heavy, and distracted, making it one of the more dangerous places for pedestrians in this county. They had to put a lighted crosswalk there because so many people get run down in the early evening.
I'll be in Laf. tonight, but at a meeting :o(
Lots of evangelical Christians?!?! When did he live here, 1885? ;-) I live here now and it's definitely NOT a hot bed of conservatism from a numbers standpoint. Sure, the old money probably is, but there's 3 government schools within about 6 blocks of me and Berkeley is just the other side of the east bay hills so the infection was spread here easily...
I'm sure it'll be a snarl, tonight. We'll be sure to stay out of the street.
Drive by and give us a honk and a wave -- either coming or going -- if you can make it.
Well then get ready for a surprise. Laugh-ayette is full of radicals and the city council is all socialists that think they can dictate your wallpaper pattern.
Evangelicals? not likely. The main church in town is the Presbyterian on Knox Drive. They never touch a Bible there, and the utility rooms are plastered with 'peace' symbols. Ditto for the 'Christian' church on Glenside, and they teach TM there, along with yoga classes too.
I just drove by there - there's a truck, a couple of people with clipboardss, a KEEP OUT sign. Think they'll replace the scoreboard with a lighted sign?
So, the Episcopal church has become asocial club, eh? I drive by there fequently.
Wish I could go tonight.
I too just drove by on the freeway...I'll be driving by back the other way to a meeting. I'd would like to have attended but got other plans I can't break.
I rolled by this morning on my way to the office; the neon sign is the black rectangle you saw, it just won't be lit up until tonight, if at all.
It'd actually be a pretty impressive display if the intent behind it weren't completely fraudulent.
Don't think I know where the Episcopal is.
Oh now I know what you meant. I wasn't referring to the Episcopal on Michael Ln, but the Disciples of Christ on Glenside, around the corner by the creek. Never been in the Episcopal, so I have no idea.
I used to live in their house. Louise Harvey Clark is an heiress to the American Hoist and Derrick fortune. Her husband builds cheap crappy apartments for the local serfs in Lafayette.
NEON?! How vulgar.
Some respect, eh?
I call it At-Qaeda's Scorecard.
Tony Snow, on Hewitt's show, said that in the month 103 troops lost their lives, about *5000* terrorists were dispatched.
I haven't been there either. I go to church in Livermore - a prolife, promilitary and generally conservative group of folks. Love it!!
I hope someone at the scene can call Sussman on KSFO during his show - starts at 6.
415-808-5600.
I'm trying to place the church on Glenside - I'll think of it.
And bump!
bump for our troops!
That explains a lot. She must be on a guilt trip from living off of a fortune she never could have earned herself.
Bump for after-action reports
For those in the SF Bay Area: Imagine Richmond and/or Oakland right next to Lafayette/Orinda: You'd have a better picture of the proximity and situation of Durham (DukeLAX situation).
We're lucky in NC that this kind of infection is not so widespread.
