For the Democrats, embryonic stem cell research has always been about one thing and one thing alone--the legitimization of abortion. Their devotion to baby killing is truly despicable.

I just wanted to let you know that as somebody that is currently underwriting embryonic stem cell reserach in the private sector I am not in any way wishing to be involved in the abortion debate. Ah, dude, since you're investing in a process that destroys fellow living human beings, you've involved yourself in the abortion debate.
The "abortion debate" can be summed up thusly: Do you kill fellow human beings who haven't made it out of the womb yet to better your own life?
There's nothing "Catholic" about this position. As Catholics, we are supposed to uphold values - but these values are ones that society claims are critical independent of religion. Don't make the mistake of thinking that a pro-life view is a religious view.
I hope you come to realize, and quickly, that by investing your money in a process that destroys embryos, you are the exact equivalent of someone investing money in a place that destroys fetuses. They're all human beings. They all have worth, and in any sane society, should have at least the right to existence. This basic right to life trumps someone else's right to make a profit, or even a right to better or extend or comfort another's life.

exactly. When I mentioned such to friends who only read the MSM, they disputed this truth.
