US troops will leave Iraq “in coffins”: Sadr aide
AFP ^ | January 12 2007

A senior ally of radical Iraqi cleric Moqtada Al Sadr warned on Friday that thousands of the planned 21,500 extra US troops en route for the war-torn nation would “go home in coffins”.

Launching a new strategy to rescue Iraq from civil war, Washington told the government of Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki, who owes his job to Sadr, it was on “borrowed time” and declared new “no holds barred” military operations.

A cornerstone of the new approach is increased pressure on Iraq’s neighbours Iran and Syria -- which are accused by Washington of fomenting unrest -- and tougher action to deal with militias such as Sadr’s feared Mahdi Army.

“The American people have to prevent their sons from coming to Iraq or they may return in coffins,” threatened Sheikh Abdel Razzaq al-Nadawi, a senior official in Sadr’s movement, slamming the planned US troop increase.

His threat compounded tensions over the detention of five Iranians in a US swoop on an official building earmarked as a consulate in Arbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, which Tehran branded a breach of international law.

Sheikh Jaber Al Khafaji, another close Sadr aide, also slammed the new US strategy during his Friday sermon in the Shiite holy city of Kufa.

“The Sadr movement rejects the new mundane policies. Their new strategy targets the faithful and believers who rejected the occupation, injustice and bondage,” he told worshippers.

Why isn't this guy dead?

because to a lot of the Shia's, this guy is the son of a friggin powerful holy man and is to be protected like a Indian cow.

That's why........

That's the reality, and that's why the only thing that will kill him is old age or a legit accident which could be arranged but at a very high cost if exposed, and it likely would be..

The accident will make him a martyr, and that's even worse.

This moron will have to be bought off and brought into the Government fold. Just a matter of time.

I am all for making 5 million martyrs if that is what it is going to take. Treating these terrorists with some unfounded respect because they are some phoney religious leader just makes matters worse. You have to be tough with terrorists. Once you show weakness, terrorist jump on it.

For a lot of people this is as much ancient history as the Korean war or the Vietnam war. They can only read about it as interpreted history, or hear it from the old uncle around the dinner table. It hasn't fallen into the faked moon landing category yet, but it isn't current events for them. These young people will probably remember the early 2000s as the good old days.

I wonder why these people don't like pigs...they squeal just like big, fat porkers. Don't worry, our troops will be using their rags for toilet tissue before this is over.

This is my opinion about Iraq. We either need to do the job or get the hell out. And to do the job right we need a new deck of cards with Sheikh Abdel Razzaq al-Nadawi and Sheikh Jaber Al Khafaji as Ace or Face cards. Mr. al-Sadr would definitely be an Ace card in that deck.

I think it is time to schedule a date for "The Great Koran Flush". Everybody takes a few pages and flushes them at the same time.

Time for Mookie to receive some lead poisoning...like a double tap to his forehead.

Shoot him seven times in the back of the head, London-style.

Send a bunch of ADA gun units to Iraq - Vulcans and Sgt. Yorks if they are still around. Then blast Sadr and friends while they're at prayer - be thorough - use a MOAB or something similar - LOTS of "collateral damage." Then use the Vulcans and Sgt. Yorks to wipe out the rioters.
You'll wipe out the worst segments of Iraqi society and send a message to the ones you missed...

What I wonder is if these guys eat pork and doesn't know it does it still count. I wonder if the ones in prison realize that they have eaten pork?
