Let the illegals move in next door to you and let us know how you feel.
You are entitled to your views, however, I could really care less about your opinion.
I agree with your assessments although I think they are turned off by the gay agenda the D's put forward. I don't think their vote is monolithic. And the Hispanic friends I mentioned, whom I have known for 30 years and 16 years respectively, hate illegal immigration more than anyone I know. And they don't say "illegal immigrants or undocumented workers." They say the "W" word.
The Mexican Americans I know seem somewhat ambivalent on the illegal issue. On one hand, like you say, they will talk derogatorily about the"mojados" and moan about how corrupt Mexican society is.
Yet it seems that when Mexico and/or illegals are under attack by Anglos or other groups they seem to circle the La Raza wagons and show their solidaroty against "racism".
Blacks are the same way. They are very critical of other blacks among themselves but often when whites have the same complaints they get very defensive.
Maybe thats just human nature.
I don't know what you are smoking in Ohio, but no where in this thread did I advocate for illegal immigration. Do you think you might have just had a "savage" knee jerk reaction to the word Mexican?
By the way, I do have a Mexican family living next door. They are all citizens and have a son who is a Navy Corpsman serving his 2nd tour in Iraq. But thanks for asking.
The way current multiculturalism is, keep your own cultural, sit right down, you get little areas of the same people. Look no furhter than the Spanish signage at the local HD.
The way America used to do it, you came to America to be an American and we used assimilation. This worked. The half-icans are a disaster waiting to happen.
