"I don't know that the American people or the Congress at this point believe this mission can work," she told ABC News in Baghdad.

Cut & Run.

"This is my third trip here. I've seen the violence and security problems increase, not decrease," she said, calling on Bush to start withdrawing U.S. troops. "

She then added, "when the going gets tough, quit!"

She didn't meet with any of the troops?

I think she went to Iraq already knowing that she wanted to say it was a bad, "heartbreaking" situation over there.

Can't stand her.

Noting she had to travel wearing body armor and surrounded by soldiers and security guards, Clinton called the situation in Iraq "heartbreaking."

Well, gosh, Hillary, maybe you should have gone without the body armor and the convoy protection. I mean, it is such a nuisance and all. Perhaps you should have just gone footoose and fancy-free and maybe gone to some to those really cool shops on Haifa Street.

The result of that wouldn't be "heartbreaking."

Not to most of us, anyway.

She saw the "hearbreaking violence" and "insecurity" because she had to wear a protection vest!? That's rich!

She is expected to dipise GW and everthing he does.

Does anyone have anything relevant to throw in here?

RE: "Clinton called the situation in Iraq "heartbreaking."

Yeah, it was a paradise before the Americans screwed it up, huh? Baathists, Islamists and Hillary agree!

All she has to say is, "I want..." and her minions fetch and serve it on a silver plater. She gives a crap about Iraqis. Their strife is her political advantage.

The reason, I know is, because the troops can handle the situation. It's the Iraqi Gov't that is the weak link.

OK. It's spelled "despise."

Relevant enough for you?

Clinton Doubts Iraqis Can Pacify Baghdad

Well, thus far Democrats haven't even been able to pacify Washington DC, New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles, St. Louis, East St. Louis, New Orleans, ...

Yes, as soon as the Iraqi government has everything in place and the country is secure, we can leave. (And I can't wait until that day comes.)

"Clinton had planned to meet with the Army's 10th Mountain Division... but the visit was canceled due to bad weather, the U.S. military said."

46 degrees and no wind.

Bad weather indeed.

Tony blankley said at 6:30 pm Central during the McClaughlin group that "hillary is going to Iraq this week, and will come back Anti-War"

WELL GOLLY GEE!

Whodathunk that political expediency is the ONLY thing a Clinton can comprehend.

"This is my third (one-day) trip here. I've seen the violence and security problems increase, not decrease," she said, calling on Bush to start withdrawing U.S. troops.

Hey, Hill...I'm going into my fourth year in Iraq.

Funny....I see a whole different picture from what you do. A much more positive one, by the way.

Go away, Hillary. Wash your hair. Buy a new pantsuit or something.

Just go away.

If 'her husband' had done his job, instead of playing with an intern, maybe we wouldn't be fighting this war in the first place.

I don't really care what Hillary Rodham Clinton thinks about anything especially the Iraq war. She and 'her husband' need to be in prison not giving us their opinion about anything and everything.

She really needs to be paying more attention to 'her family' than trying to tell the rest of us how to live our lives. I despise the woman.

Allegra, a friend of mine was in Iraq for a few months on business over a year - maybe closer to 2 ago. I don't remember where he was, but he seemed to think that about 2/3 of the country was peaceful enough to go out to dinner, walk to work, etc.

How would you characterize things there now? (I know that's a big question, but I'd be happy with a short answer)

The ONLY reports we get are the hot spots, I'm just wondering if it's general widespread open season on anyone American or the wrong flavor muzzie, or if most of the conflict is centered in one or a few concentrated areas.
