I agree. I was stunned by some of the posts. Thankfully the truth is coming out. One thing that I sincerely believe is that he will turn out homosexual. I know that sounds crazy, but with all the abuse he has suffered (allegedly at this point), I just believe this will happen. Obviously I hope it doesn't for this young kid, but I believe he will. Too many studies have proved that abuse causes it in many cases. This kid if nothing else needs our prayers.

I tend to agree with you. So, we need to constantly pray for this boy that this doesn't happen.

I dated a guy in my early 20s who's brother was gay. Come to find out he was molested constantly by the neighbor across the street when they were kids. THey lived with their mother who was dying of cancer and she was always so sick she never could take care of her kids or know what was going on with them. When she died the children were sent to live with their dads, but they were never the same. My boyfriend fortunately was never molested.

Most boys who are constantly molested like this grow up to have sexual problems. We can only pray for Shawn and hope that he recovers from this nightmare.

It's true that they say the abused will become abusers, but I hope with counseling, this one will beat the odds. We already saw one miracle--he was still alive--may God grand another.

When I found out that my youngest son had been molested by an older neighbor's boy, I asked him if it ever caused him to be gay. He said NO. I believe him. I know it can happen, though. Some become male prostitutes. We need to pray for these kids.
