The best lesson is the American family believing that if they only give in to the jihadists that they will somehow be spared, only to learn (too late) that they will only be satisfied by further death and destruction--without end. President Palmer also learns this lesson, as he releases the prisoners in exchange for yet another Muslim lie.

We are subjected to movies and tv specials about the what if scenarios of super volcanoes, the impending doom of ice ages, earthquake and tsunami fear mongering, but don't dare mention a threat that is most assuredly very real and very now.

I also learned what can happen to our country when a weak President gets in office - one that caves in to terrorist's demands. AH HAH! Now I understand why they brought in Wayne as Pres. He's a bigger weeny than Logan ever could hope to be!

The new President on "24" has to be a democrat.

LOL! The show was GREAT! All the whiners quoted in the article come off as crybaby, sour-grapes, delusional moonbats upset more that it is the FOX network that has this popular (because it's so damn good) show rather than one of their "propaganda" channels.

I only wish Fox had not put "24" up against the Golden Globes. If they are trying to educate Americans, then they need ratings to do it. The Globes slaughtered "24" in the ratings (per Drudge)
To: Paloma_55
Yep. The MSM wants to avoid all fact and reality. They are the ones perpetrating fear, not shows like 24.

Exactly! And his sister's whining about civil rights while the entire country is going up in flames was very illustrative of the ACLU-type mind set.
Rather than making people think in more PC terms, most people watching wanted to smack her up the side of the head.

Of course the new president is a democrat. Everyone know that WASP's are Republican and wouldn't allow it.

As eyespy and I discussed this morning, what we learned from watching 24 Sunday night and last night is that if your neighbors go to beat the crap out of a Muslim neighbor, let them. That Muslim neighbor might just be a terrorist. That's not what you learn. The family was right to intervene at that point. What you learned is that if that same person turns out to be a terrorist, you cannot give in to their demands, no matter what the cost.

Since the first President Palmer was identified as a democrat on the show, I assume that his brother is one, too.

Sut Jhally, co-producer and co-director of the film "Hijacking Catastrophe"... Sut Jhally's, Hijacking Catastrophe(68 min) is not a movie about 9/11, rather an indictment of American imperialism, and the New American Century, the idea of military dominance and forced culturation part of neo-conservatism, the Wolfowicz Doctirne. How about the early morning show from a few years back, where the passenger jets slammed into our buildings and incinerated thousands of innocent men, women, and children? Very "dramatic". Although, when the other planes started to hit and crash, that's when I thought it went "too far".
This woman must be at the bottom of the food chain over at ABC. Today's big news is the Golden Globes and what all those fine celebs were wearing.

Ironically though, they also have some interesting contradictions to that...like the time Jack is torturing a guy and he decides the suspect has no more information because he "sees it in his eyes",I saw that scene as showing that Jack had lost his edge after being tortured in a Chinese prison for two years, and that had affected his ability to do what needed to be done.
