Do you know what a "private bill" is?

On his web site:
Democrats' legislative priorities: A New Direction for America
Looks like the same old direction to me; and it looks like the Dems are back in business!
God only knows what has flown under our radar.

It would be interesting to see WHEN she "quit" her job; what do you want to bet it was AFTER the Vanity fair cover?

IF she gets it early, that means that over her lifetime, she will have collected EXTRA $$$$$ money not allowed others. Special treatment. (I thought she quit to have the twins. Has she applied for any other desk job so that she could put in the required time per regulations?)

We're already funding her pension. This moron wants her to be able to start collecting money now without any penalties for early retirement. That's exactly right. She's already got a pension coming (and arguably rightfully so-- it's vested to her), just not yet. She chose to get out early. Tuff Nuggets. :-)

Following the initial outing in the media, Mrs. Plame Wilson's future as a covert CIA operative ceased to exist and her career of two decades was destroyed. Inslee has this entirely wrong. Plame was identified by the KGB as a CIA officer in the early nineties. She was immediately recalled from foreign service because of it. She was unusable as a covert officer from THAT time on. This recent business about her was of no consequence.

Great work finding this. Funny how the Wilsons failed to alert the press on this money grab. Maybe they're doing another magazine photo spread tonight with Valerie panhandling at the Georgetown end of the Key Bridge.

I was listening to that discussion, up to about an hour ago.
Sen. Bobt. Bennett (R)Utah was giving Feinschwein some run for her $$ about the line item veto issue.
He had dates, facts, etc. about the line item veto comments she made in 1998!! WooHoo .. the Rats got very silent after his speech. She was trying to say the bill was too complicated ... LOL .. then when he threw back her positive comments about it ..and related as to how BillyJeff had used it .. whoo boy. It was precious. And Lott stepped up and was pretty good, too.

Isn't the fifth a supposed to be capitalized?
To: thackney
That explains it.
I hope some smart Republican comes up with an alternative bill, something along the lines of recalculating her "time served" and getting it below the required minimum to qualify for a pension at all. I bet there's an appropriate 'Joe Wilson' bill that somebody could come up with as well.
