"A Yuma Border Patrol agent was pulled into neck-deep water during an attempted apprehension Tuesday night near Andrade.
It was at least the third time within the past 12 months where an agent was either pulled into water or attempted to be pulled into water, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman Chris Van Wagenen.
Around 8:15 p.m., a suspected smuggling vehicle exited onto State Route 186 and was attempting to head westbound on Interstate 8 when border agents spotted the vehicle.
Once the driver realized that he was spotted, he spun the vehicle around to head south toward the U.S. Port of Entry at Andrade.
The agent deployed a spike strip, which successfully deflated the vehicle's tires and stopped the pursuit near the All American Canal.
The three male subjects exited the vehicle and jumped into the canal.
As the agent approached the canal, one of the men grabbed the agent and pulled him into the water...

Just another day in Paradise for these poor agents, who clearly have no backup from our government. Of all law-enforcement related jobs, I think this is the one that sucks the most these days. God bless these guys for putting up with it.
I suspect a lot of them won't put up with this thankless job for much longer. Then we'll really be up a creek without a paddle.
He'll probably be sent to jail for environmental damages......
Why the hell didn't the border agents SHOOT ?? If you are running from law enforcement you have every right to be shot !
Well George, we're waiting. When are you going to put a stop to this?
This is Bush's fault. And the fault of Congress. It's in the Constitution that they protect us against foreign invasion.
I don't think they are allowed to. And after what happened to those two agents in Texas, who would want to take the risk.
I'm surprised that there hasn't been a mass exodus from the Border Patrol since the two agents were convicted and sentenced to prison. If that were the sort of backup I was getting from my emloyer for doing my job, I'd be looking towards greener pastures.....
The real enemies of this country are not outside its borders. They are in the schools, courts and the US congress.
But, let me say this, If I had as low esteem for the police in Alabama as the US Government has for those serving to protect us from this invasion, The police in Alabama would justifiably never leave their stations.
Not all the courts my friend, not all the courts. Just as there are still a few God fearing honest Republic loving school teachers, there are still a few of us on the bench that serve to honor Christ and our Republic.

Maybe they will allow the agents to use toy soft pellet guns (with bright orange safety colored tips to show it's not a real gun), with the promise that they won't aim at the illegals' eyes when they shoot.
"The real enemies of this country are not outside its borders. They are in the schools, courts and the US congress."
You left out their leader, Bush!
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Poor guys. Maybe once the fence goes up around the Goldwater bombing range, things will be a tiny bit easier on our border patrol.
Maybe he didn't want to go to jail.
It's disgusting that the people we have elected have chosen to ignore their responsibilities.
They really didn't change their strips. You all voted for it by voting them back. That's why I'll go with Tancredo & be proud to be a so-called one issue voter. (unchecked illegal immigration is NOT a 1 issue item)
