"Sutton: All I can tell you is that I prosecute the crimes that we have,..."

Except for smuggling drugs and illegal immigration.

This thread is vindication to a lot of us.

Too many Freepers were no different than the faculty of Duke University...that not only convicted the boys, but canceled the program...firing the coach in the process.

How many blind-with-rage Freepers voiced their indignance at the thought of a drug smuggler..< cough >...an illegal one

...allowed free in favor of jailing two of our 1st line of defense

...against that dastardly wave of foreign speaking invaders. /s

These guys were like the cops in Magnum Force. Dirty as hell.

Get over it.

I believe Sara Carter, a journalist who has risked her life reporting on border problems, long before I'll believe a Gonzales stooge like Johnny Sutton.

Now, if Sutton can only explain why I'm never going to vote for a Republican again(?)

"If we put on our tinfoil hats maybe we can find away to blame President Bush for this :)"

Just because Sutton worked for Bush when he was Governor of Texas and a member of the Bush transition team?

I fear you may be the one wearing a tinfoil hat.

He is simply repeating the prosecution's story, which is disputed, and which is based almost exclusively on the perp's statements. While it is possible that Sutton is playing it straight, those outside the political process who have been investigating this have questions. Listen to KSEV radio on streaming audio 7-9 am CST.

You gave this link -- http://www.friendsoftheborderpatrol.com/pdf/Compean_Ramos_Facts_Not_Myths.pdf

That was very good. Shows what a lying scumbag that prosecutor is. He's as slick and slimy as a snake in the grass.

Listen to KSEV radio 7-9am cst streaming audio - they will get to the bottom of this. Right now it looks as if Sutton's story has more than a few problems - none of which are in the interview.

I agree, they are weasel answers. Sutton claimed in an earlier press release the agents perceived no threat, yet here he is claiming that Campean couldn't shoot straight because of an adrenaline rush. I think the percepetion of a life threating situation would be a better reason for inducing an adrenaline rush than just deciding to nonchalantly cap an innocent person in the butt.

You said -- "If we put on our tinfoil hats maybe we can find away to blame President Bush for this :)"

If Bush doesn't give them a full pardon, then we'll be looking into those connections, which have already been given, linking that lying scumbag prosecutor and Bush.

"Sutton: The way we found him is that he came forward and was in Mexico with a lawyer. So, the only way to get him to testify was to give him immunity from being prosecuted. He wasn't going to agree to come to the United States, he wasn't going to agree to talk, unless he had some kind of immunity from being prosecuted for that load. So, that puts the prosecutor in the terrible choice of everyone goes free, we got no case against the dope dealer, we cannot make a case against the dope dealer because there's no evidence thanks to agents and other factors. And we've got two agents on the line who we know have lied, covered up evidence, shot 15 times at an unarmed suspect running away."

I look at this quote above and have to wonder if Sutton was just looking to prosecute someone for something. He said they went to Mexico because Davila would not come here to the US, but then he goes on and says he can not prosecute Davila without evidence, but took Davila's word what happened and decided to prosecute the Border Patrol without there witness testimony. In other words, they gave Davila immunity without knowing whether the Border Patrol agents thought Davila had a weapon or not. Davila was given immunity without knowing whether the Border Patrol agents believed their lives were threatened.

Also, Sutton says there was no evidence against the dope dealer, so he could not prosecute the dope dealer. They had a van with hundreds of pounds of dope in it and there could not have been time for Davila to wipe his fingerprints off the van, yet I am to believe he had no case against Davila, but was worried about everyone going free?????? That makes no sense.

How many times do police and prosecutors add evidence from some cases that they can not prosecute to other cases with similar/same evidence until they have enough to prosecute?

Sutton looks like a liar on this one.

Also, what he has said here does not jibe with the pdf he put out regarding the evidence. In this case it sounds like Campean, Ramos and Juarez were all able to see Davila's hands when Davila was climbing a steep incline (not using his hands to climb)and therefore knew Davila had no gun, but the pdf indicated Ramos could not see, Juarez could not see. Which is it? Also, Ramos said he fired when he saw Campean fall down, but Sutton's pdf indicates that Campean fired all 14 of his shots before Ramos fired his one shot.

Also, why was Ramos convicted of destroying evidence and the crime scene when he did not collect his or Campean's shells, Campean and some other border patrol collected them and the other border patrol was not charged?????

I think there are more discrepancies, but I would have to compare the statement to the pdf to find them. I haven't had time to do that.

You said -- "Thanks for the link! If even a little true very damning."

Yeah, that link to "Friends of the Border Patrol" was very good. They listed the evidence that showed that the prosecutor was a lying scumbag.

And from what I can see of prosecutors, being lying scumbags, slick and slimy snake-in-the-grass opportunists -- goes with that profession. Those kinds seem to *excel" at being that way.

If it's between "Friends of the Border Patrol" giving the facts and the lying scumbag prosecutor giving whatever he can stuff down the throats of the American Public -- I'll take "Friends of the Border Patrol".

That lying scumbag prosecutor should go to Mexico and get a job with the drug lords that he wants to protect.

Star Traveler

"They knew who Davila was AFTER the incident. Not before."

Then why did they pull him over? It wasn't for a trafic ticket, these are border patrol not local police.

You said -- "Something is very rotten in the Bush Justice Dept. Remember that same dept. gave Sandy Burglar a slap on the wrist for stealing documents from the National Archives. When are people going to realize: George W. Bush is not a conservative!"

Indeed, it's so rotten, it's smelling to high Heaven...

You said -- "Not a very honest answer from the US Attorney for the District of West Texas."

I'm just prefacing any references to him with "lying scumbag" -- which is what he is. He's on the level with that dirt-bag drug dealer that he let go.

So, you're saying that this prosecutor in Texas is a lying scumbag like that prosecutor was in the Duke case... I would agree with that...

Regards,
Star Traveler

P.S. -- the words "lying" and "scumbag" seemed to be linked to the word "prosecutor" -- as they are all of "one kind".

I just looked up Pat Gray's website linked from KSEV website.
Based on his poll, I think Sutton is losing the propaganda war:
---
Border agents Ramos & Compean are now in Federal Prison.
Do you believe District Attorney Johnny Sutton was motivated by...

Power...A spot in the new NAU? 45.45%

Money...Paid off by Mexican drug cartels? 41.82%

Allegiance to Mexico over America? 9.09%

Doing the right thing...they're guilty? 1.82%

Adversely affected by El Nino? 1.82%
