Thank you for the only sane post on this thread..
Having lived here 10 years, minimum wage would kill this island.
But it seems embarrassing the Democrats is more important than a free market economy...
I don't think that the minimum wage should be raised for *anyone*, much less for American Samoa, but the Democrats need to be forced to argue (correctly, for once) that raising the minimum wage in American Samoa will cause jobs to move outside of the U.S., and then try to explain why they care about jobs in American Samoa but not jobs in the rest of the U.S.
