It's laughable to read some of the lib apologists explanations for Burglars thefts. They say "well how do you know he took something important?" The obvious answer is how do THEY! know he didn't? And why would he risk a long prison term for innocuous documents? As if he went in to correct some spelling errors. Does anyone with half a brain believe that if Dubya sent Condi in to steal documents and was caught, the media would be totally uninterested? The thefts by a Republican admin member would be the main topic on every lib talk show and scandal sheet until Rice would have thrown in jail. But of course Burglar is a Dem. Two sets of rules for Big Lib Media.

AGAIN, this is the Justice Department of Senor(s) Gonzales and Bush. I find this as disheartening as it is disgusting.

Berger is untouchable. We blew that one just like we blew a million other chances to show the American public what frauds the Dems are. Then you wonder why the Dems won the last election. We had power and did ZERO with it.

I agree. You also forgot to mention that they should fire those who have been advising Bush .

If it happens it will be over Gonzales dead body.

The Bush Administration wants this swept under the rug and forgotten about.

"We had power and did ZERO with it."

We tusted our GOP leadership to be leaders. They were leaders, but not in the right direction. And now, we have a considerable contingent of freepers who insist that we can only survive if we elect "leaders" of exactly the same ilk.

Like Dad, Bush looked like he didn't give a damn this last election.

New England Blue Bloods all.

Some of us were less than euphoric when Bush was able to nip that political giant, Al Gore, in the 2000 election. Though the dramatics in Florida were an interesting distraction. Perhaps the electoral college will be one of the prices we pay for that stellar performance.

While NOTHING can be worse than a Democrat, it is disgusting that the core basic values of low taxes, anti-corruption, small government, balanced budgets, strong borders and military defense, are LOST on the Bush family.

That's the truth, too.

Why don't they continue to act like a bunch of blindfolded wussies like they did before the election where they lost nearly all their power?

Typical GOP, I am very sorry to say.

I don't know how they structured it, but if it was a term of his probation, it would expose him to serve the remainder of a stayed sentence. If it was a stayed adjudication, then they would go back and enter a formal adjudication of guilt, but it could be to a pre-agreed charge. If there was a mere continuance of the case on conditions, it would just allow the prosecutor to continue to the prosecution where it left off. I have never seen the document upon which all this is based.

The late Senator Sam Ervin called polygraphs "20th-century witchcraft."

Why go through all this? He's going to get away with it.

He DID get away with it, thanks to Alberto Gonzales and George W. Bush.

I really hope they can put enough heat on this serious issue to overcome any resistance against getting as close to the truth as we can.

Where is fn' Bob Woodward and the other liberal media attack dogs on this one?

Oh thats right, those dogs don't hunt when they sniff a demrat down the hole.

BTTT - Washington Times had an article this morning. We cannot let this guy off the hook. Egregious does not even begin to describe his actions. Treasonous does.

I wonder if the Burglar was asked how many copies of these documents were made and distributed and what is the price of a copy?

Oh my! Those big brave eighteen Republicans (is that even a quorum on the lunch committee?) want Berger to be held to the terms of his tap on the wrist. Berger should be behind bars, as any Republican would be were the party affiliation different. There should also be a criminal investigation into who sent him to steal the documents in the first place. This is crap. Nothing more than the politicians circling the wagons.
