PORTLAND - Two grown brothers sued the Mormon Church and the Boy Scouts of America Monday, claiming they were sexually molested as children by a man who served as a Scout leader and church teacher.
The brothers, who are in their early 30s and are identified only by initials in the $6.5 million lawsuit, say they have suffered "severe debilitating physical, mental and emotional injury."
The suit, filed in the Oregon state circuit court in Multnomah County, claims the men were molested as boys in the early 1980s by Timur Dykes, a home teacher for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints -- the formal name of the Mormon Church -- and a Boy Scout leader.
The church denied any responsibility and said it does not tolerate child abuse. The Boy Scouts had no immediate comment.

It makes me wonder whether this is a lawsuit to get money, or is it possible it's part of the gay agenda to cripple both the Mormon Church and the Boy Scouts some more?

Well, it is true that some Mormons are gay.
One of my gay friends had a very nice time with a Mormon missionary, one of those guys who dresses in a nice suit and rides his bike, allegedly doing the Lord's work.
In this instance, he was advancing his own interests, most vigorously, or so I was told.
The Boy Scouts have done everything in their power to keep sexual deviants out of the Scout Master ranks and they've paid a price for taking such a moral stand.

The politically correct never accept responsibility. When they see some young pregnant, unmarried woman choosing to either raise or get her child adopted they sneer in disgust, when they condone such young women having sex and getting abortions. Last time I heard, a girl having sex can result in a girl having a baby, but they never acknowledge their doctrines as part of the problem.
Likewise with the Boy Scouts, what is the BSA going to do if they have had an epidemic of older men molesting younger Boys? Does someone have a good alternative to what they did? I think it’s the best choice. I have been in the Boy Scouts, life for anyone who has been one has little privacy. The last thing you need is to find out in a rude awakening that your adult supervisor has the wrong kind of intimate desires toward you.
