I am reasonably certain that that is a Dillion Aero weapon. They have been making them for sometime and have fixed many of the issues that the GE version had. Most notably you can clear a jam in about 10 seconds. The GE required tools and about 20 minutes to clear a jam. Dillion improved the delinker and the bolt assemblies. The youtube video was shot at a range in Arizona I believe.

The power of the mini-gun become legendary in Vietnam, attached to Spooky and Puff the Magic Dragon. Underneath a gunship firing it's mini-guns, I've been nearly buried alive in hot brass.

mad,

I am not familiar with the Dillon, but I spent time as a gunner on AF SAR choppers in SEA and we used the GAU-2/B 7.62mm. Great weapon when it was working. The belts had self-disintegrating links but the tolerances were very tight and if you encountered a 'chink' in the belt you were in for one epic jam. You usually grabbed your CAR-15
because it wasn't the optimum time for weapon maintenance.

Oddly, the designers have chosen the 25mm gatling cannon used on the AV-8B for the F-35, instead of the 20 mm that has been used on the F-104, F-105, F-111, F-4, F-14, F-15, F-16, and F/A-18.

Funny how Murphy works overtime in war.

Google Dillion you may only find their reloading equipment information. The aero side likes to keep a low profile. Their reloading stuff is the best IMHO. Also one of the cable channel shows did about 20 minutes on the mini-gun. It might of been on the Military Channel but can't remember. But of course anytime Predator is on I have to watch the mini-gun scene. It is about 43 minutes runtime in the G version!!
