I'm beginning the think "The View" has the same MO as the Jerry Springer or old Geraldo show.
They pretend they want thinkers but really want voyeurs as viewers. Intelligence not necessary.
Are you kidding? I try to catch the opening segments whenever possible. To see it live is mind blowing. The only reason Rosie's on this show is to bash Bush ,to push her Broadway stuff, Gay cruises, and gay marriage agenda. She gets free airtime! The audience, the View's fans all buy into this garbage. Think about it, women in America are listening to the likes of Rosie and Oprah. The media is having a field day!
Not me! Of course, I am an intelligent, productive member of society -- I have a job!
God only knows. Personally, I'd rather extract my own kidney with a butter knife than watch that hour-long homage to vacuity. And that was before the beast who ate Manhattan showed up.
After the opening segments I would compare the View to the Jenny Jones show. I do like to stay informed. I am amazed at how many of my friends know very little about the truth right now.
Looking at Rosie, I'd say its a Cheeseburger in Paradise.
We love you productive people!!! Even when working, there are holidays and sick days, which is when I ordinarily checked in on these things. Daytime television is actually a great motivator to keep one's day job. But don't forget, there are people working 2nd and 3rd shift!!!!!
Do you mean to say you watch it for research purposes then? Like keeping tabs on what the secular kooks think? Well, you still make my point - you can't watch it more than a few minutes.
If this keeps up, it will probably improve their ratings as people turn in to be amused.
Someone should nominate the show for an award as a sitcom or soap opera.
Today, Ro did call for Bush's impeachment (she was pretty hyped up in her spiel by the time she mentioned it). Mebbe a quarter of the audience applauded. It was more like a moment of dead air (the 'applause' came on?). From my couch view, Elizabeth was a little shocked; Joy tried to chime in and drum up applause; and Barbara Walters looked stunned. Truly stunned. She must have shot a look to kill at Rosie; because Rosie then shuffled the cards and said something about changing topics...Ro went on another diatribe about a Senator stepping forward and marking history with an impeachment request yada yada yada, Clinton was mentioned, and she added 'he was impeached over sex in the privacy of his office (note to Rosie...OUR office, hon). And Barbara then ended the foray with 'he was impeached for lying.' They went to commercial and came back to the next 'hot topic.'
As always, they (the four on the panel) seemed fine. I'd love to see an audience member blog about this...because what goes on during those breaks has to be more than just re-applying lip gloss.
It's a man, baby.
It's a man, baby.
check twice, post once! Maroon.
These two bickering and talking over each other are repugnant.
Don't be so hard on yourself...you are suffering from post traumatic stress from watching the clip. Now take breaths in and out...
I always manage to find the more ridiculous stuff when I channel surf!!
Kind of like H&C these days.
the full version is so much better.... ;-)
