Sadly, it is often quoted here. It's a problem. These are people who want to make sure you conform to THEIR SENSE OF MORALITY.
Suspending belief in all reality here, given Wolf's question, and his dogged determination to forge onward with it even after being rebuffed by the Vice-President, what was he supposed to say?
Dick Cheney is an elected official. A public servant. His daughter Mary is a gay political activist and a public figure in her own right. A few questions to Cheney concerning a statement by Focus On Family, over Mary not being in a normal relationship and how that might effct the child, is perfectly fair.
Here's a novel idea for Wolf - why not ask Mary herself, since he (and presumably you) view her as a public figure?
Naw - what's the fun in that? The young broad would probably bitch slap him around like the old broad did!
Gawd, it's tough being a lib talking head these days!

I just fundamentally disagree with your perspective.
I've just always assumed his real name was something like "Vladimir Moonbeam Earthlove" but he changed it to get the Pentagon correspondent gig back in 1990.
To have a child that you love--and perhaps be totally opposed to her lifestyle choices
And to have a hostile MSM which would love to drive a wedge between you and your family member--not to mention destroy your ability to lead.
IMHO Cheney is the best man for '08
Cheney's real beef on the issue is with Focus on the Family. Blitzer was only capitalizing what was given to him on a silver platter by Focus.
Sure, Cheney endeared himself to the base, and would only alienate himself with that same base if you did to Focus what he did to Blitzer
Agreed. The MSM has no problem posing personal family questions to Republicans, particularly when they might prove to be embarrassing. I NEVER see them do the same to democrats.
I disagree with you here. It was neither the appropriate time or place.
Okay, no disrespect to anyone anywhere. I am just wondering why I see so much gay bashing on this forum, but when it comes to Cheney's daughter, nothing but protectiveness. You either agree with the gay lifestyle, or you do not. There is no in between here.
Rosie is gay. So is Cheney's daughter. You love one and hate the other. All though I do admit, it is real hard to love Rosie. Still, you are separating due to dislike, and not due to the fact that they are Both Lesbians.
You can bash Rosie and Ellen, and numerous others for being gay, and wanting to be parents. But you really need to include Mary if that is how you feel. It is not a selective process. You are either pro gay, or anti gay. And if you are anti gay being parents, than you have no right to support one, and not all. Doesn't work that way.
We seen enough flip flops with Kerry. I don't need to see any more. Just because she is Cheney's daughter, doesn't make her less of a lesbian. You either except that lifestyle, or you don't.
He's not going to run.
Read thru the posts and maybe you will get an understanding. Read the topic of this thread and you might be further enlightened. Cheney was asked to appear on Blitzer's program to discuss politics, not his daughter. The questions asked by the Shanker Blitzer were designed to put him off guard and to try to embarrass him. It did not work, and in fact consider the shanker slapped.
Now, if you wish to start a thread to discuss V.P.Cheney's daughter and her lesbianism, you are absolutely free to do so. In fact, ping me and I will be glad to join in to the conversation.
Now, to address your question as to why we bash homosexuals on this site is because anal intercourse is the number cause of HIV in this country and the number one cause of deaths amongst the homosexual community is HIV.........Thus anal intercourse = HIV and HIV = death!
Sorry to have to be so graphic but it is time you start realizing that "Gay" is not happy.
..I know
For the Record: I AM TIRED OF ALL THIS CHENEY LESBIAN CRAP!
President Bush would have been much better served picking someone else for VP in 2000. I can't think of a national politician that has been so bad at promoting a good image. Even that adulterer and rapist Bill Clinton was better at it.
