Congressman Pushes for Probe Against Nifong

North Carolina Congressman Walter Jones is demanding an investigation of Durham D.A. Mike Nifong.

Thursday Jones met with the U.S. attorney general's office in Washington. He said he has a new reason why he thinks the nation's top law enforcement office will launch an inquiry.

According to the Jones, there is no excuse for the attorney general not to initiate a civil rights investigation because the three lacrosse players had their civil and constitutional rights violated.

The Congressman delivered letters from nine members of congress who think now that Nifong has removed himself as prosecutor on the Duke lacrosse case, the U.S. Justice Department should take action against the D.A.

Jones cites as basis for the investigation "misconduct by the prosecutor." He went on the say that gives the U.S. Justice Department "authority to look into misconduct by a state or federal law enforcement officer."

Jones said he has never spoken with Dave Evan, Collin Finnerty, Reade Seligman or their lawyers or family members. The three are charged with sexually assaulting an exotic dancer at a lacrosse team party last March.

"I feel sorrow for the three young men and their families," said Jones. "They have been destroyed by this D.A. for politics." We just want to bring some protection to the young men.

The Congressman hopes the charges against the men will be dropped.

Eyewitness News spoke to Nifong's legal assistant and she said the D.A. has "no comment" about the latest development in Washington

I agree. Although there is some delicious potential irony there, if we get to see somebody pandering to the NAACP race pimps get taken down by the very same laws they like to use as a bludgeon against so many other people.

"I think some legislation holding these DA's accountable for there actions is in order."

We do not need any more legislation. Nifong can be tried and convicted for obstruction of justice in North Carolina State Courts.

In addition, Nifong probably has some civil liability for his actions. I have read that before this Duke mess came up, Nifong was borrowing money from friends to run his campaign, so it is most unlikely that a civil judgment against him would be collectible.

Another interesting fact: I am almost certain that Nifong was a classmate of John Edwards at UNC Law School.

Civil action is worthless. It's an endless chase that amounts to nothing.

Legislation should be passed banning these clowns from political life and the potential penalties should be dire.

The Congressman hopes the charges against the men will be dropped.

This slick son of a b. So glad he's weighing in on the important matters of the day. He lives in the middle of MCAS (H)Cherry Point, MCB Camp Lejeune, MCB Camp Geiger, MCAS(H)New River, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Pope Air Force Base, and the Army's Fort Bragg. DEAD IN THE MIDDLE of ALL OF THIS!

And Nifong is a freaken priority.

Apparently it is a priority with a great many FReepers, as well.

I wouldn't expect much from 'ole Jonesy, freema. He's apparently one of those "I support the troops but don't support the mission" jackoffs.

HOUSE REPUBLICANS JOIN JONES TO URGE AGAINST “SURGE” OF U.S. FORCES IN IRAQ

Another Nancy Pelosi with an R behind his name.

Walter Jones: "I just want to tell you soldiers and Marines how much I support you, but I don't want you to get any reinforcements. Suck it up, GI's, I'm really proud of you."

"Not just a heavy prison sentence, but hard time in a real prison..."

You mean, "Federal Pound-Me-in-the-Ass Prison?" Amen to that.

"...it is most unlikely that a civil judgment against him would be collectible."

However, securing a judgement would innoculate against Nifong seeking to cash in on book or movie deals.

Leftist liberals do such wonderful things with the law: Nifong, the Clintons and Fitzpatrick.

Now, it is time for criminal and civil trials of Liefong, the Group of 88, $harpton, Je$$ie HiJack$on and the new Black Panthers.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1810510/posts

DURHAM, N.C. — — Sitting on the stoop of his small wood-sided home, on a parcel of scrub pines carved from a former tobacco plantation, William Ragland, 76, said he wanted to see justice, and soon, in the Duke lacrosse case.

That would mean putting on trial not the lacrosse players, but the district attorney who led the early prosecution of the case, said Ragland.

“I was shocked by how Mr. Nifong did the whole thing. It was a cover-up. He had evidence that these boys did not rape her,” and improperly kept it secret, said Ragland. “

The link below will take you to a picture of the druggie ho that the two black Raci$ts, Rev Un$harpton and Je$$e HyJack$on lied about to make headlines and bucks for Je$$e and $harpton.

It is time to debar LieFong, frog march him to criminal courts to be tried for conspiracy and malfeasance. Then frog march him over to civil trials by the players and their parents, the coaches and anyone who came close to being lynched by the black racist and mediots of America.
