He's OKLA's other GOOD one.
"He gets it. So does Newt and even Joe Lieberman.
The list of those who don't is very long."
Yes he does get it! I wrote Joe Lieberman and thanked him for his support of President Bush and our military.
I'd vote for him for POTUS.
Sen. Inhofe is a real man and I hope he`s in the senate for another 50 years
I would vote for him in a heartbeat! I can remember in 2000 when he finally had enough of McCain and went out in the primary campaigning for Pres Bush. He took off the gloves early in that one. Doubt if McCain will be inviting him to any events this time.
You and me both! Too few people like him in politics who will stand up even if it is not popular!
Thank you very much! Freepers need to reread what Sen Inhofe had to say about that and remember Clinton's wife is no running for President!
Outstanding!
I only got to do it once, but I was very happy about it.
Actually I only voted for Sen Inhofe once myself as we moved here in Jan 1997. I know I was so happy to have him for my Senator when we moved.
For me, it was 1994. I'm glad to know that you're covering for me now that I've left. Keep up the good work.
>> Yahoo! At least one MAN is hearing!
At least there's one MAN (in Congress that is.)
Thanks for the ping!
She said hi to him just yesterday...
Thank you for sharing this. It's indeed refreshing to see at least one Republican who understands the situation and what it will take to win.
Unlike Warner and the rest of the disgraceful cabal of RINO's.
Although I agree that Inhofe is one of the best in the Senate, I wish that spine had been on display when the Senate leadership was discussing spiking the Clinton impeachment. Unfortunately, he didn't raise any objection. For me, that will always be a black mark on an otherwise exemplary record.
A vote to remove him from office, justified as it was, would have gotten us a President Gore, probably for more than just a couple of years.
That must have put a big "ARE YOU SURE" in the thinking of the Senate.
That's also a good point, but one I never heard offered in defense of the "don't dump this on us" attitude that Trent Lott personified.
However, had the Senate done their duty, I think a Gore presidency would have been under the microscope (especially given his own ethical/legal breaches) and wouldn't have been able to do much damage (nor get re-elected). Unfortunately, we've seen way too many dire consequences resulting from leaving Clinton in office (and appearing victorious over evil Republicans).
