CLEMSON, S.C. Clemson University President James Barker criticized an off-campus party where white students mocked black stereotypes by drinking malt liquor and wearing fake gold teeth.
Click here to see two videos about the incident.
At least one student dressed in black face. Another person padded her rear.
Barker said the school is investigating and he's angry and disappointed by the event.
School officials said they became aware of the party over the weekend and have met with some offended students.
Students said the party had a gangsta theme. It was held over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend.
An unsigned letter from party organizers read to some of the offended students yesterday apologized for any disrespect.
School officials say members of at least one black fraternity attended the party and then left.

This whole thing is way overblown. Get over it...
ditto.....
None of the offended students better walk through downtown Atlanta where you can get "Grills In An Hour" at the sneakers-and-cell-phones store, or they might get even more offended...
It will soon be a crime for whitey to party like a brotha'.
...don't these students have free speech/expression/assembly?
I would suggest that black students have a party mocking white stereotypes, but we get that every day on BET...
I guess they don't believe that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
OMG. I hope there wasn't a rapper there.
Is it a negative "stereotype" when you can see much of the same thing on BET and MTV? Yes, the gansta image in negative to whites, but not to a very large precentage of the black subculture. Therefore, by portraying it as negative, the prez is being a racist. :)
They are just being wiggas
I looked at the pictures. It looks like a bunch of drunk, stupid college kids trying to have a good time. I really doubt any of them are racist. Foolish maybe, but not racist. Just foolish enough to believe that they can make fun of stereotypes, and not be called to the carpet by the PC do-gooders and race-baiters.
diversity is our strength..
If it happened off campus and nothing illegal occurred, then I don't see where it really is any of Clemson Administrations business what they were doing and how they were partying.
This was an OFF campus party. Butt out, Clemson University!
For reals.
You better ax somebody.
