Giuliani Would Defeat Hillary in New Jersey (Quinnipiac alert)
angus-reid.com ^ | 1/31/2007 | Staff

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani is the favourite Republican United States presidential contender for voters in the Garden State, according to a poll by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. 48 per cent of respondents in New Jersey would vote for Giuliani in a head-to-head contest against Democratic New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

In other match-ups, Rodham Clinton holds a one-point edge over Arizona senator John McCain, and a 24-point advantage over former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. McCain leads former North Carolina senator John Edwards by six points, and Illinois senator Barack Obama by three points.

In 2004, Democratic nominee John Kerry carried New Jersey’s 15 electoral votes, with 53 per cent of the vote. No Republican has won the Garden State since George H. Bush in 1988.

Incumbent George W. Bush is ineligible for a third term in office. The next United States presidential election is scheduled for November 2008.

Polling Data

If the 2008 election for President were being held today, and the candidates were (the Democrat) and (the Republican), for whom would you vote?

Rudy Giuliani (R) 48% - 41% Hillary Rodham Clinton (R)
John McCain (R) 43% - 44% Hillary Rodham Clinton (R)
Mitt Romney (R) 29% - 53% Hillary Rodham Clinton (R)
John McCain (R) 45% - 39% John Edwards (R)
John McCain (R) 42% - 39% Barack Obama (R)

(sic) re: all the erroneous "(R)" designations.

Source: Quinnipiac University Polling Institute Methodology: Telephone interviews to 1,310 registered Ohio voters, conducted from Jan. 16 to Jan. 22, 2006. Margin of error is 2.7 per cent.

It would seem, to any rational person, that an underground attack on a very tall building would require some plan to evacuate people trapped above the ground floor!

I have read the statistics.

There was pretty much no way the people above impace could be saved. Stairways were destroyed, the fire was out of control

Few people died below impace.

I think some people just don't like New York City, don't like large cities anywhwre and are a pain in the a$$.

"Don't encourage him any further, hes a broken record, no plan, no plan, no plan. I don't know what he is talking about. I am going into ignore mode."

The fool obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.

His credibility is nil.

He's either ignorant or a liar.

People ABOVE the ground floor survived almost entirely.

What is it you don't understand?

People survived below impact. Above impact which was WAY UP THERE, did not.

Why do you not understand this?

I don't think they will make the same mistake twice ala Dole.

If Rudy has 60 mill and is beating McCain by 15 points in the polls McCaine would be tossed over the side of the boat without mercy.

I think your wrong that he is popular with the suits. Just the contrary i don't think he has many friends on capital hill....they'd like nothing more then to pull out the long knives.

I think Shrillery's stock will drop considerably whenever the day comes that she has to answer questions about herself in front of an uncontrived, pre-made audience. Things like 1) who killed Vince Foster, 2) how many people assisted you in the coverup and moving of his corpse, 3) why did you steal over $100,000 of taxpayers' property out of the White House when you left, 4) why did you allow drug use and homosexual trysts in the White House, 5) where are the 1000 FBI files that were stolen, 6) etc.

That's what I expected to happen when she ran for Senate, but the media collectively declined to ask her a single difficult question.

They will continue to decline.

Still don't have what?

I work on the 25th floor. City codes require evacuation plans.

What do you not understand?

"And I will bet most places still don't have one or haven't even given it a thought"

Again, you don't know what you're talking about.

I have been working downtown for 20 years and know for a fact that emergency evacuations have been prepared for most buildings.

I suggest you skip this topic because you will be debunked by ANYONE who was there that day.

Like I said, vote for whoever you want. Nobody cares.

If the terrorists who set off a bomb in the underground garage put everyone abouve ground at risk, why was there no plan for the second through 100+ floors?

Dumb. Like I said... NO PLAN, NO LEADERSHIP...
