So how far back does the Free Republic archive articles and how can I go back and find some of the first threads that started the whole thing off ?
It struck me I've hung out for a while and it was well established when I joined.

I was goofing and putting in some random early numbers (I'm 5131), and it's kind of strange to see how many people post daily for several years, and then one day just stop. I'm not talking about the ones with an Opus, or where the Mods put them in time out and they ran, but just normal posts and they suddenly stop. We know, of course, about BKO and BCM, but I wonder how many other Freeps quit posting after 9/11, and we never noticed or knew why.

Rumor has it he was locked out - a rumor as to which I have no idea as to its authenticity. The guy had sharp elbows to attend his very quick mind, knowledge and wit, and I guess, it was deemed time for this site to embrace more "compassionate" conservatism or something. My main issue with Sink, is that he did not mind cops beating folks up sometimes, when they "deserved" it. That got my legal nerves just buzzing. :)
