One of the students mentioned to her friend that there were bunches of Middle-Eastern guys buying phones in the Radio Shack at Metrocenter, Jackson, MS.
About 13 men or so bought the tracphones and her clerk friend also said that many of them came in buying phones in the afternoon as well.
I contacted the FBI in Jackson already.

I figure once the FBI contacts the store and looks over the receipts, they'll know whether to care or not. It's simply this, the Metrocenter is the perfect place for a terrorist to buy a lot of phones and no one to notify the police. You go anywhere else in Mississippi and all the rednecks are going to automatically assume they are terrorists if they buy a crapload of phones or do anything suspicious.

Yeah, I saw some Muzzie (at least I think he was a Muzzie, he was swarthy) buying, get this 30 Gallons of Diesel Fuel the other morning at 7-11 (Citgo, no less). Do you know the damage he could cause with that much Diesel? He thought he was slick, trying to pump it into the gas tank of his Ford Excursion, but he wasn't gonna get one over on me. I called the FHP, they said they'd get right on it. ;)

I bet they drove to those stores, which means they probably have access to THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM!
And through the cellular network, they can access the entire PUBLIC SWITCHED TELEPHONE NETWORK!

You're right to be suspicious and you did the right thing. The knowitalls here to pooh-pooh this stuff may one day themselves be on the receiving end of an explosive device set off by these phones. Then we can "laugh" at them. For all we know, they are plants by al Queda to come on here and other sites to make fun of concerned people. Keep up the good work and to the rest of those who denigrate this poster, I see get a life. While you still have one. These Islamofacists mean to kill us all. That's all they live for. And they don't distinguish between the concerned and the wiseacres. Dead is dead.

Actually it was a play on words that had nothing to do with you or your tiny little, backward ass, dirt-poor state. But if you want to get in a spitting war over the quality of life in various corners of a our nation, just say so.

It could have been something not so innocuous and perhaps even insidious!
There are a few:
Toogaloo - black college
Jackson State - black college
Mississippi College - Baptist private
Belhaven - Baptist private
None have a high number of Middle-eastern students. In fact, Arabs and Persians are pretty much non-existent in Jackson. There are quite a few Indians (including my next door neighbor), but they simply don't congregate unless it's at the local Sikh temple.
To be honest, I haven't seen anyone other than black, white, or latino in this area since I got here, which makes it a bit strange that a bunch of Middle-eastern guys would go to a Radio Shack in the Metrocenter (a high crime, primarily black mall, on a Wednesday night).
