The President and First Lady attended the National Prayer Breakfast today and then participated in a meeting on child fitness in the Roosevelt Room of the White House.

LOL. What a valiant effort to meke a snowman! We live in Wyoming and the snow is so dry it won't pack to make a snowman.

I wish....Jon doesn't want any attachments while he's over there.....when he gets home for good he better start looking.

This snow was extremely wet as the temp hovered just around freezing. It was in the upper 30's when they were out this afternoon making these.

Sad to say, when I showed last year's pics of the Prayer Breakfast to my Norwegian friend, she couldn't understand why we would have such a thing and was happy that it would never occur in Norway.

I'm pretty close to being a heathen myself, but I can't believe that people would have a problem with the heads of state getting together for some mind and soul clearing prayer or meditation. She feels it hurts the country, I think it can only help.

Laura and I are honored to join you here at the 55th National Prayer Breakfast. You know, it's is an amazing country, isn't it, when people from all walks of life gather to recognize our dependence on an Almighty God...

I pray that our Lord blesses and raises up our President, George W. Bush, who is a faithful servant; protector of his citizens and warrior for freedom , the only conduit of true peace on this Earth.

May history get it right and judge this good, decent, brave and righteous leader who ignored his critics and answered the calling of his time.

I had a card put through my door by the postman this morning saying there was a package too large to go through the letter slot so that maybe it.

I have arranged for them to deliver to my work tomorrow - I will let you know if that it is it.

Do they not have any national church services then in Norway? What about royal functions etc.

Also what about soldiers killed in action do they not have any remembrance ceremony when they return.

We always have their coffins met at the military airport and often a member of the royal family or defence secretary will be there plus clergy to officially welcome them back to British soil.
