Well...you stay in, and get well.
I just heard our weather...an inch of snow tonight.
We had big hugh snowflakes this afternoon...and the girls got all excited...but it didn't stick.
They are saying tonight and tomorrow's snow is supposed to stick but we will see.
I have been meaning to ask you...do you live in north Mississippi or south Miss.??
Aw, you had your darlings with you today. :)
A barge just hit the bridge here -- breaking news locally -- The Mississippi River is six blocks from my house --- Lousiana is across the river and my city is mid way between the northern and southern parts of the state.
Party girl! Just found your ping. I've heard about Blood Diamond -- sounds like a winner because Hollywood loves message films.
Oh my goodness. I don't want to go out now; how did people function with -90??
Also, though it seems cold to me, for some reason I think I don't need to worry about the pipes yet. At what temperature should I worry and leave some faucets dripping? I tend to leave the heat low and wear sweaters. Maybe it would be better to turn the heat up?
I got the budget utility billing so I'm not worried too much right now about costs. I've lived in Philly in an old 3 storey house with oil heat. It was nothing to pay 400$ for oil if the weather got really bad. I still have nightmares about not having enough oil/money. I actually saw my breath a few times inside that house! When the lady here in Iowa asked if I wanted the budget billing, I couldn't sign up fast enough!
Six blocks from the Mississippi huh?? I have never seen it..in fact, I have never been east of where I am right now.
I keep swearing I am going to at least get to the Washington DC area before I die...but, I keep adding other places I want to go also, like your daughter's island paradise!! LOL
I just came from a thread about Nancy Pelosi wanting to use our military planes for herself, staff, family and other California politicos...just to take her to California, whenever she WANTS!!!
That woman is outrageous! She made the demand to the Pentagon, which shipped the decision to the White House.
I BET Pres. Bush will be pressured to say yes....I hope not though.
He'd better say NO. Her request is outrageous.
I actually can't imagine he would do more than have a good laugh...and tell someone to call her and say NO.
However, for some reason, I think someone is whispering in his ear that now that the Dems control Congress, he has to "work with them"...
I saw Jack Murtha on Hairball last night..and he and Pelosi were invited to the White House to talk to Pres. Bush yesterday...and all Murtha did was smear Pres. Bush when talking about it.
He said he has been to the White House more in the last year, than all of the other times added together since he came to Congress....but then laughed really sarcastically, then proceeded to bash Pres. Bush.
He'd better not. That's all I can say. We're talking public funds now.
Eleanor, I plugged my key_oard in tonight after giving it a few days to dry out. Every key works except the letter that comes after A and in front of C. One key short of a key_oard. I am not looking forward to attempting to do the Dose Friday with the other one. It may _e a truncated version.
I am going to head to bed....the itty bitty one is an early riser.
You need to get a good night sleep..and take good care of yourself.
We don't want to little cold to get bigger.
sweet dream, onyx
I can help with the text if you wanted as photos you can copy and paste.
If you want as I will be around from fairly early because I am doing the singles thread which is not normally that busy so could easily do bits for you at the same time.
Freep me if you want me to.
Eleanor
Thank you - you are very thoughtful. I think what I'll do is have a small and large "b" copied and pasted into an Email to myself and every time I need one, just Alt + Tab over to copy it. I'm going to do as you mentioned and set my alarm for an hour before the ebay auction ends so I have a better chance of netting the replacement at a good price.
How about ILW? ;o)
If you are in an apartment you shouldn't have to worry much. If your bathroom and kitchen are inside walls, no problems. If they are on outside walls you might have a problem if it gets really cold, anything under zero and if you have drafts coming in then you should just let one faucet drip slowly.
I am renting a house, but it is a twin with 1 attached wall. I think a lot of the plumbing is on the shared wall, but not all of it.
Glad to hear I can just let 1 faucet drip, I thought I'd have to turn them on all over the house. Thanks for the advice.
Glad to have done so - by the way Gretchen has put up today's dose
