Oh, reminders (re: Baer):

http://sweetness-light.com/archive/more-hypocrisy-on-parade

Just take a look at the google page:

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=RNWE,RNWE:2005-01,RNWE:en&q=robert+baer+vips

But the good thing...

re: Sandy Pants
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A4189-2004Jul21

Is this (and from the left mind you):

The Wall Street Journal had a telling piece today, recapping the Sandy Berger document scandal.

In it, they recapped how the document supervisors marked a specific document. When it came up missing, they put a second copy in the stack Berger requested, and it, too, came up missing. The only conclusion that can be drawn here is that he, deliberately, stole classified and/or controlled national security documents, for whatever reason.

This becomes of real interest if you read Robert Baer book "See no evil". Baer contends that Berger (page 244), who was holding $90,000 worth of Amoco stock, while heading the Intragency Committee on Caspian Oil Policy (ethics? Naw!), had this old Law firm, Hogan & Hartson pimping White House access for anyone willing to pay the fee's, or donate to the DNC. Efficient, wouldn't you say? It makes Dick Cheney look like Elmer Fudd. Can anyone say "Halliburton"?

Given Mr. Bergers performance, it's bewildering why this isn't front page news, except for the glaring fact that the liberal news template will gag any mention of it, because, after all, it would bode poorly for their darling, Hillary. Don't expect George Stephanopoulos to pop up with a story on ABC very soon either. No way he's gonna kill the golden goose!

The real issue here is why the Bush administration has kid-gloved Bergers prosecution. The only explanation is that some people on the other side of the aisle don't want it to come out either. Berger's plea bargain agreement expires in 2008, just in time to apply for a job with Hillary. Bet he's got some nice things on his resume', huh? And, I'll bet, gagging Berger would be sound politics. A nice Ambassadorship or appointment would do just that.

Oh, and they say he's Sandy's friend?

P.S. Read this... think big oil:

I don't think he has a snowball's chance....

Hillary's strategy is pretty clear.

She knows there is a HUGE "anyone but Hillary" block out there....not just on the right- but also on the left.

Polls show that 2/3 of Dem registered voters believe their leadership is too liberal. She also has to deal with the Hate America/Socialist left who hate her for the War, etc...

She has to come out of the box very early to eliminate all the other Dem candidates for '08. This will allow her to spend less money on the primaries- because her real challenge will be the general election anyway.. and it also leaves her a lot more leeway on where she stands on the issues- because it will simply be a bash the Republicans race for the general election. She will tap into the frustrated conservatives, etc....

I only wish the Republican strategists and leadership would get it through their peon heads that the way to win is to put up a conservative candidate....like Duncan, instaed of all this talk about McCain...

Donna talked about the usual......

The "phenomenon" of Obama and her former boss' pet project, Global Warming. According to her, we have to accept the fact humans are the cause of global warming, since all the scientists say it's true. The Dems, in her opinion, are the only ones wise enough to grasp it. George Will challenged them to have the Senate put Kyoto to an up or down vote, since 56 of those who voted against it last time are still in office.

It will be interesting to see what transpires in the actual primaries. It's my opinion the Obamamania is phony. I'm convinced many people say they like him because they wish to be viewed as open-minded and fear being labeled as racist. The actual numbers won't support the hype, when counted.

I never thought much of Molly either. She had some of the most hateful columns I've ever seen. She called Bush any and everything hateful. Same for any other Republican. She wrote one about Senator Hutchison when she adopted her first child. That was horrible.

We have another liberal here, John Kelso, who makes a lame attempt at humor three times each week. He had nothing but glory and praise for her. He even called her columns humorous. I wonder how he found humor in any of her writing?

Hopefully, they will replace Molly's column with Ann Coulter! < /sarcasm, heavy sarcasm>

YES YES YES!

I can't imagine the torment in her little head....

I watched "The Upside of Anger" last night....this woman is the epitome of the angry white woman, scorned and hell bent on making everyone as miserable as she is.....She hates her life, her world, and all those around her that can find a way to enjoy any given moment in a day...

Elizabeth and John Edwards are like Hillary and Bill without the Perversion and Cold nasty witch persona. Obviously Elizabeth and Hillary both wear the Pants in the Family (both extra large for their bottom heaviness), and both are the power behind their wimpy Husbands and their Campaigns. Elizabeth is almost as big a conniver, but she comes across as not as cruel, mean, power hungry, and manipulating. She also had Breast cancer so she can get a little sympathy thrown her way that softens her image. I remember that originally back in 2004 Hillary and Slicky chose Edwards as their candidate in that crowded field of losers.

Perhaps we should ask the MEDIA right now if they want to go back to that.

I wish someone would ask the MSM if they liked being censored under Truman.

There are many aspects of the Korean War that the media is trying to hide.

Libs prefer to talk loudly about our "failure" in Vietnam, rather than comment, in any way, about our success with helping to release South Korea from enslavement under Kim Il-sung's military.

What an odd thing to say

have always enjoyed long walks in Arlington Cemetery ???

http://www.webbforsenate.com/biography/hong_le.php

7) Are there any stories you'd like to share about family life with Jim? What are some favorite family activities?

Despite Jim's often serious demeanor in public, people may not be aware that Jim is a great husband and father, and has an often wicked sense of humor. In the tradition of the Scots-Irish, he loves to pass on family stories to his children and grandchildren. My daughter Emily has been the recipient of many of these stories and never tires of hearing them repeated. And he has no problem getting down to a nine-year old's level of fun, doing the "The Banks of the Hanky-Panky", "Hokey-Pokey", and "Cha Cha Slide" on request! We have always enjoyed long walks in Arlington Cemetery, and when time permits, having family over for cook-outs.

That's why we need Marcotte to stay with Edward's campaign... she can't help herself.

re: last paragraph on Marcotte via Riehl

This chick needs serious professional help. I'm sending this to the Sanity Squad.

You might like to read this. http://www.tarrance.com/Republican-Analysis.pdf

I agree the key to winning is independent voters. There are more of those today than ever before, and I believe many are disgruntled Democrats who cannot bring themselves to join the Republican Party.

Even though the emphasis is on this being an open race, I still have to lean towards a past governor making the best candidate. If for no other reason than he would have executive experience as well as winning a state with Democrats, Republicans and Independents all voting.

A new question is whether or not Hillary, having ten times the money George Bush had in 2000, can actually buy the election and get uninvolved or unknowledgeable voters to vote for her? What is also interesting, to me, is whether or not the Democrats will nominate Hillary with all the baggage she brings to the contest? (I would think a Bill Richardson or some other Democrat governor would stand a better chance of winning the presidency.) On a positive note, this early start for the Democrats may mean they will peak too soon, and voters will have more time to see through their duplicity and lies. The longer they talk the more they expose themselves to the truth of their positions and goals.

On the Republican side, I am not convinced our eventual candidate is known yet. It is hard to fathom any of the current leading candidates winning the conservative base or having the name recognition and positions to win. I cannot figure out how Giuliani, McCain or Romney can win with the baggage they have, and others like Gingrich and Hunter do not have the money or the name recognition. The solution has to be a Republican governor stepping up and attracting the money needed with a message that would bring the party base and independent voters together. In my mind, that limits the field quite a bit and I can only think of a few people who might be capable of doing it. (This is one reason I had hopes for Allen until he self-imploded. Allen was a Senator but also a past state governor.)

re: Sanity Squad

Please everyone hear the top two podcasts when you have time:

They're on the screen, no player needed.
The third one is great as well, re: dems, vietnam, now and why they're doing it.

http://politicscentral.com/show/the_sanity_squad/

Sanity Squad: Equal-Opportunity Victims
Multi-culturalism has met the Holocaust. There’s a movement afoot to make Holocaust remembrances more “inclusive;” especially in Britain, where the Muslim Council has been campaigning to replace “Holocaust Memorial Day” with “Genocide Day,” and proposing that the latter should include the so-called Israeli genocide against the Palestinians. The Squad discusses the benefits of victimhood, Kerry’s dissing of the US, Carter’s attitude towards history, and the only cause the Left ever championed and then abandoned.

Sanity Squad: On Fear
An article in this month’s Psychology Today purports to describe what goes into the making of liberals and conservatives, and the motivations behind post-9/11 change. Short version of the answer: conservatives are fearful, liberals rational. The Sanity Squad has plenty to say about that, and the difference between headlights and lamps, epiphanies, ambiguity, tipping points, and political paranoia.

Thanks for letting me know what Donna said.

All you have to do re: Obama is listen to his campaign speech this weekend at the Dem Convention to realize he doesn't have any "plans" or concrete knowledge of how government works...

His idea of a campaign talking point is to say he brings "hope" to America. Hope and 25 cents WON'T get you a cup of coffee.
