Senator Coburn gave a great presentation on the Iraq / WOT issue today in the Senate....best one I have heard as to the ramifications of leaving Iraq...the 1 thing I watched on CSpan today...he could be a terrific Presidential Candidate??
He wouldn't make it as a Presidential candidate. I would love to see it, but the Oklahoma media managed to make him look bad can you imagine what the national media would do. If only we could get someone who spoke and carried themselves like Mitt Romney but thought like Tom Coburn we would have a winner.
If he took a run at it he would be one of the few in the field so far to get me back into the fray. These days I have been pulling for Duncan Hunter which is likely the kiss of death for him. Coburn could make me that enthusiastic.
I am a minor Republican cog in the machine in my precinct. That means I have spent lots more hours than I care to admit doing phone work and convention work and door-to-door work. I've notified my puppeteers that I won't waste any time working if McCain is the standard bearer in ought eight.
