I heard this on the AM today driving home from work....

it was all about the border guards who are being royally screwed by the worst of the legal system and ignored by the POTUS.

RE: POTUS
It's kind of like blaming the CEO of Home Despot (sic) when the new illegal in the warehouse runs over your toe with a forklift. Absolutely disingenuous.

But the "polls" show Rudy to be the front runner. My finger is in the air, and that is what I also feel.

Pretty sad situation, ain't it?? Shows you what is important to Washington ---- its a byproduct of globalist agendas, the pursuit of the NAU, and pandering for the Mexican vote in 2008. You can bet on it.

Bovine scat. The POTUS has knowledge of the case, and is fully capable of righting a wrong that has been done, and so far, has refused to act. Your analogy is totally flawed, with an emphasis on the anal in analogy.

I guess if the CEO has maintained policies that encourage those illegals to work in that warehouse - then maybe he is to blame.

I agree with you for now, but it's now public knowledge that DHS has lied to Congress and that the 'evidence' used to convict these agents was fabricated by DHS and the prosecutor. For what reason I do not know but I'm sure that the Congressmen who have been on top of this from the beginning are all over the WH about these new revelations. The President can no longer just sit on the sidelines and whatch this play out. It's HIS DHS and HIS Federal Prosecutor who are behind this. He needs to take action and restore some level of morale in the Border Patrol and win back the confidence of the few Americans who are paying attention.

Didnt the border guards shot the fleeing Mexican in the ass. Firing on a fleeing suspect is against the law. They admit they did it. While I would have thought there are more grievous crimes to prosecute, the guys were guilty.

As I am understanding this as the story unwinds, the bullet did not come from the agent's gun.

A theory (and it is only a theory) that his own people may have shot him for losing the shipment of dope.

I heard the interview too.

This whole mess with the border guards stinks like something you'd find on the TV show "Dirty Jobs".

POTUS said he can't do a thing until the process runs thru the courts ... Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon before he was even charged with a crime!

Since when does the rule of law mean anything to this Administration?

Bush is going to reward 15 to 22 million law breakers with an Amnesty and path to citizenship.

US Border Patrol Agent, Rene Sanchez

Upon returning to Mexico, Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila complained of his misfortunes to his mother, who contacted the mother-in-law of Border Patrol agent Rene Sanchez in Wilcox, AZ. According to a document, Rene Sanchez stated “that Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila's mother, Marcadia Aldrete-Davila, contacted Rene Sanchez's mother-in-law, Gregoria Toquinto, and advised her about the BP agents shooting Aldrete-Davila. Toquinto told her son-in-law, Rene Sanchez, of the incident, and he spoke to Osvaldo via a telephone call.”

Why would a Mexican drug smuggler's mother call the mother-in-law of a US Border Patrol agent, Rene Sanchez, and tell her that her son was shot by the Border Patrol after dumping a million dollars worth of marijuana?

Agent Rene Sanchez repeatedly called the Fabens Border Patrol Station requesting information to see if there were any seizures or shootings. However, according to the Department of Homeland Security in a memorandum of activity document, Rene Sanchez stated that he queried the Border Patrol Tracking System (BPETS) and found that the Fabens Border Patrol Station seized a load of marijuana on February 17, 2005.

(Note: Agent Rene Sanchez also assisted with securing an attorney for Aldrete-Davila to sue Agents Compean and Ramos in a civil case
